Poor batting, poor fielding, poor bowling. Other than that we played quite well
Lammonby was a complete lemon for the Originals, just need to keep chipping away and hope nerves kick in.
was just about to post the same thoughts Mac.He's been a wrecking machine tonight.
To be fair that’s just nonsense . . we have a fantastic white ball side but through international call ups, covid and injury we were missing 6 first choice white ball players . . They were missing 1. That was the difference. . Saying that we took it to the wire so every credit to the Lancs playersUndone tonight by a combination of poor batting in our last 5 overs, dropped catches, and poor fielding., and fielding has been our strength this season. Lammonnby should have been out lbw, it was a poor decision but its unlikely to have changed the result.
We just didn't take advantage of playing on an under 15's ground either, so short were the boundaries.
I've said in previous threads that we've become a much better red ball team,, we've been very impressive in the 4 day game this season, but in the limited over formats we've simply not been good enough.
It's all about opinions, so we'll have to agree to disagree. If you were happy with the poor batting in the last 5 or 6 overs., plus the missed catches then fair enough. Personally I was very disappointed. To be fair that’s just nonsense . . we have a fantastic white ball side but through international call ups, covid and injury we were missing 6 first choice white ball players . . My nonsense comment was about you stating our red ball team being much better than our white ball team . . . if you look at our first choice white ball team this season (with all players being available) - probably Allen, Livingstone, Buttler, Davies, Vilas, Croft, Lamb, Wood, Mahmood, Hartley, Parkinson it is amongst the best in the country and features several players who play white ball cricket all over the world including 6 international players. It's all about opinions, so we'll have to agree to disagree. I agree that we're missing key players to England, Covid isolation etc, but I just feel we've been better at the Red ball game this season. But I won't simply dismiss your opinion as nonsense though
Good replacement for DaviesJust announce that Phil Salt signed permanently. A very good signing
