Platini was a great player back in the 70s/80s, but he must've known that in later years he'd have a problem with his Blatter?!

The fraud is allegedly Blatter using FIFA funds to pay Platini a $2million bribe for him to deliver UEFA delegate votes to Blatter who was standing for re-election as FIFA President in 2011.

Not directly linked to the award of the 2022 World Cup to Qatar, sadly. That is the subject of yet another corruption investigation with even more bribing of delegates but the cash coming from a different source.

But I am a little surprised the Swiss have finally acted. The Zurich gnomes usually like to cover up all their citizens’ financial misdealings in their country’s banks. Starting off with hiding all the Nazi gold in WW2.
