Bottle Tops

I'd Rather not have the lady behind the counter tamper with my drink and take the top of my bottle, I do believe it's illegal to tamper with food or drink under the food safety act 1990. The top is also part of the purchase price of the drink and as such should be sold in complete form, a practice the club that needs to stop immediately despite the one or two idiots throwing bottles on the pitch.

Petty I know but bloody annoying and the lady wasn't particularly chuffed at having to it ...

I'm going to start a black market business selling bottle caps to good fellow fans.

I had to suffer this on Saturday and was parched for the second half, was unacceptable 😪

Does that mean they should ask people with flasks to remove the tops before entering the ground. I'd sooner be hit with a full plastic bottle than a full flask!

There's got to be an element of common sense applied. Full bottles could indeed be considered a missile - but in these Covid times, we're encouraged to get into the ground early, and many people do not want to have to go and queue in a crowded concourse before or during the match or at half time. And if you've got kids with you, you can't leave them alone in the stand while you go buy them a drink.
As with everything else, the behaviour of a small idiot minority results in the entire fanbase being treated as potential criminals. Wouldn't be acceptable anywhere else.

Thoughts @SLO_BFC?

I believe if you ask for your bottle top left on they have to do so either that the vendor I'm told can decline the sale and the customer be refunded.

I'm personally not in favour of removing lids from bottles. (I bought bottled water at the last game and the lid wasn't removed.) If we contemplated going down the route of keeping everything that could be used as a missile out of the bowl of the stadium (cans, coins, bottles and tops, pie cases etc etc) we'd be in a bonkers place. People just need to behave themselves - and most do.

Surely you can see someone taking the top off your bottle?
All you need to do is to watch if the bar person slips something in the drink?
Why not take your own opener in with you and ask for the top to be left on?

Steve, how about suggesting to the club that they stock small cartons of juice drinks or capri-sun that come in pouches, for parents with kids that may want/need a drink, or alternatively compile a list of what would be acceptable to bring into the stadium if the club is unable to sell them.

If as the slo said he bought a bottle of water and the lid not taken off then what is the difference with a bottle of coke or lucazade or is it special treatment for the slo and staff ,whats good for one is good for everyone ,or just take a bottle top to game in your pocket, problem solved.
