No. Nothing cricket wise (but aren’t we doing well?).

The more I see of Josh Bowler, the more I can’t believe he’s our player.
He’s quick, nimble-footed and he reminds me of Grealish. And now he’s opened his account too.
Ex-Hull. Why didn’t they keep him?
Have Everton got similar, allowing him to be released?
No lower Prem/upper Ch’ship wanted him? Strange.
Obviously, we can afford him or he wouldn’t have signed.
Going to win us free kicks, pens, bookings/sending offs.
Looking forward to him scoring Saturday after he’s left Ballard on his backside.

Bowler's 1+1 contract limits any fee would could get for him, and his form will attract clubs with more money. But he's here for two seasons unless we sell him. I wonder who wanted to restrict it to 1+1, club or player?

The 1+1 was given to him because of his injuries and overall uncertainty whether or not he could cut it at this level.

From the club's perspective it's a win win; he proves the contract wrong and we profit on and off the field, he proves the contract right and he's gone by the end of the season.

I think if he continues his form into January an extension might be on the cards.

Hull fans thought he was terrible. No idea what they were doing with him, playing him at centre half perhaps. But this is a case in point of why you should never listen to fans of a player's previous club as you don't know the reasons behind perceived poor performances. Always keep an open mind and make your own judgement, without exception.

Every team needs a player to get you on the edge of your seat. It's also worth noting that we haven't seen him play in the same side as a recognised right back running the overlap yet (as much as I think Connolly is making the best of playing out of position). Exciting prospect.

What's his injury record?
