Brett Gerrity gone

The cull has begun. No one is safe no matter who they are. The long and winding road to redemption. God only knows how it's all going to look in a years time.

Owner gets rid of mate, eyes and ears and representative of the Club. Nothing strange about that 😮
a bit worrying no? Brett being Simon's mate and all that. Does he know something us fans dont know? I know Sadler has said he is in this for the long game.

I am very concerned at this announcement seeing as Brett appeared to be very instrumental in getting Simon Sadler involved.
Some of the comments on this thread are unbelievable and show a complete lack of interest in the long term outcome for our Football Club.
Thank you for all your effort Brett.

Has he been sacked or has he resigned? There's a big difference. If he has been sacked then Sadler has potted the wrong man. Maybe the job was too much on top of everything else and for not much money; £15k a year is a pittance. Like Tinm said, he's had enough after 4 months.

Something is happening at the club though. Too many negative things going on and Rest was right about one going first and the other would follow after a massive fall out. I wouldn't be surprised to see BB gone within the next 7days too.

So, if that happens we have no board, no manager and come June a handful of players, league 1 and an unhappy fanbase. Not exactly the position we want to be in at the end of a relegation season is it? We are now in a worse position than when Sadler bought the club because he is right back where he started without any support like he had then and the feel good factor well and truly gone. I'm not sure how he is going to recover.

Oh, and edit to add, it certainly wouldn't have been Geridty's decision to take on Appleton or MM, those decisions have to have been made by BB and SS and ultimately SS.

He walked and I don't blame him one bit to be honest

RektSeasider told us on april 8th Brett was going and the reason why he though he was going (on the other thread).
Surprised me as well, Sadler’s pissed off no end with him precisely because they are good mates. Being his eyes and ears at the club he should have reigned things in, in Sadler’s eyes.

Geritty was needed whilst he lived in HK. Sadler lives in the UK now don’t think he needs him there.

Presumably it will take longer to replace Mansford, if that is going to happen. Maybe someone has already been lined up, I'm guessing.

Brett is a top guy, he was a big part of our success over the last three years. He really is a top guy, Blackpool fan and he will continue to be so in the future.

Times changed and both parties agreed that the end in its current guise had been reached.

Simon really is determined to sort this all out. He’s livid at how this season panned out, he’s annoyed at himself more than anything or anyone. The next phase of his ownership is about to start and he didn’t want it to be in League One.

Ben’s got a BIG meeting with him in the coming days.

Does he stay or does he go?

Tim sums it up well. I've very much enjoyed working with Brett and am very sorry to see him go. It's very easy to blithely call for resignations when things are going wrong, but replacing someone with his energy and commitment won't be easy.
I’m sure that’s gonna be Brett’s biggest regret ..not being able to assist with bst sorting the world of football finance …👍

I’m out guys, going to request this account is deleted.

The club are going forward and I reveal far more than I always intend to they deserve to crack on as they want to.

I’ve a spring in my step this week. We’re going down aye but I’ve never been prouder or happier to support this club.

There’s only good times ahead! Trust me.

UP THE MIGHTY POOL!!!

Good, you’re a prick

Pretty sure it was Brett who was instrumental in convincing SS to buy the club. I don't know what he did on the board, but I do know that he is very well spoken of by Pool fans I know who have had dealings with him. It's a bit worrying that the owner's eyes and ears at the club have gone imo, but I don't blame him; it's a thankless task.

Thanks for your hard work, Brett. All the best for the future.

Sure.

Praise the directors for:
•no plan should Critchley leave.
•suicidal Appleton and McCarthy hires.
•summer and winter transfer shambles.
•injury prone, raw loan and cheap signings.
•no independent probe on so many injuries.
•worst red cards record in the second tier.
•most defeats in the Championship.
•highest goals conceded.
•relegation back to League One.

Either the board goes or the rot stays.

Are you pissed?? The way your post is written seems out of your usual 'character'

Having read the replies it seems the wrong board member has departed. Wish BG all the best moving forward and look forward to seeing him on the terraces with us

This is quite a disturbing development. I don't know for a fact but, as a close friend of Simon Sadler, I would have assumed that he was on the Board to represent the owner whilst he was in the Far East. Also as someone to guarantee Sadler's majority on Board decisions. That he has decided to move away suggests a fracture in thinking between the owner and his friend. For me, the issue has been with the main operator on the Board, Ben Mansford. It will be both interesting and important to see how this develops.

He’s not in the Far East anymore, Simon lives in Oxford now 👍🏼

Strange one, Brett attended Tony's funeral on Tuesday with BM and came over to chat with me and there was no indication of anything of this nature happening, sounds like something has gone on after the the WBA game to make Brett walk as he loves this club.
