Brett Gerrity gone

Doesn't come across like a happy club at the moment. BG is a decent bloke , not sure why anyone thinks him leaving his a good thing.
Agree - and I for one do not. BM should be the one to go. Brett going seems like Lord Carrington resigning over the Argentine invasion of the Falklands - for those of a certain age! An honour thing when no one else is accepting responsibility. When any other organisation fails to realise its goals (no pun) and indeed takes a negative step back or heavy loss it is the chief corporate officer who carries the can and should go. I have nothing at all against the individual but the buck stops with him as the Chief Executive Officer

Has he been sacked or has he resigned? There's a big difference. If he has been sacked then Sadler has potted the wrong man. Maybe the job was too much on top of everything else and for not much money; £15k a year is a pittance. Like Tinm said, he's had enough after 4 months.

Something is happening at the club though. Too many negative things going on and Rest was right about one going first and the other would follow after a massive fall out. I wouldn't be surprised to see BB gone within the next 7days too.

So, if that happens we have no board, no manager and come June a handful of players, league 1 and an unhappy fanbase. Not exactly the position we want to be in at the end of a relegation season is it? We are now in a worse position than when Sadler bought the club because he is right back where he started without any support like he had then and the feel good factor well and truly gone. I'm not sure how he is going to recover.

Oh, and edit to add, it certainly wouldn't have been Geridty's decision to take on Appleton or MM, those decisions have to have been made by BB and SS and ultimately SS.
“….we have no board…”

Sorry but haven’t you repeatedly been calling for the board to be sacked? For several weeks if not months?

Now that your wish appears to be coming to fruition you seem to have decided this would be a bit of a clusterfcuk.

Pass the smelling salts nurse. The patient is having a touch of the vapours.

I do want that, but it still leaves a void ad it is another mess in a room full of messes.

No doubt bulletproof Ben is sat in the corner of the room stuffing doughnuts in his face whilst thinking ' how the fuck am I getting away with this ? '

I met Bret Gerrity on a train from London to Luton this time last season - he got on with 3 Pool fans answered was asking them what they thought of the season so far. All positive.

Seemed a good bloke - I hadn’t a clue who he was until the end of a shortish journey

I was supposed to take him to the ground as he didn’t know the way. However, I elected to go for a beer with BASIL.

I bet he couldn’t foresee the year ahead !

I have to say if Brett was a measure of what a Club Director should be he was a fine example.

Hope he still follows the Pool after today - we need every fan we can get/keep

And thanks from me Brett for your entertaining footie chat last year

He's been a Pool fan for over 30 years.

He'll still be going home and away don't you worry.

I for one am sorry to see him go.

My dealings with Brett on a few things, but most notably around a friends ashes being laid to rest on the pitch, were nothing but positive. He is a really nice bloke who did everything expected and more to sort things out. He was a credit to the club.

I fear his departure is a big loss. I'm increasingly tired of the level of conjecture and uninformed opinion on this board and in the supporter base at large cos it helps no-one.

This site merely mirrors wider society and the media.

Awash with idiotic speculation, hysteria and baseless conspiracy theories.

These are strange times. I'm glad I am old enough to tune the noise out.
