Bridcutt

Made an immediate impact, I was very impressed with him.

Him doing the organisational and basic stuff allowed Patino more freedom to ping his first time balls out to the wings. What an impact for his debut.

He also got in the referee's ear, not too much, but enough. After he played a poor pass (just the 1), he committed the sort of niggly foul that opposition midfielders always seem to get away with. A welcome bit of experience in our midfield.

👏 👏 👏

He did well today coming on, not a lot got past him and managed to pick some passes out and be a bit of a calming influence.

Said he always looked decent when he played us and could be good, early days but a decent start.

He hit Louza (who had been running the game) as soon as he came on. Louza went 15 yds deeper, and the game changed. He is what they call in the game,”a ratter”. Like Stewart, horrible to play against.
Bags of experience too.

Looks a good addition to the squad. The midfield was more balanced when he came on. He got stuck in straight away and looks comfortable on the ball

Was quality today. Made a big difference and a vital cog in our midfield.

Wrap him in cotton wool, it’s not worked with Kev Stewart so hopefully we can sort this guy.

We missed Dougall, I think great to have another player who can do the dirty work!
Not sure we missed Dougall but was surprised to see the starting midfield line up far too inexperienced at this level together, but Bridcutt as you say did a proper dirty job today and organised the midfield with his experience!

About as good a 45 min debut as you can hope for.

Kenny might struggle to get his place back.
Competition surely. Kenny wil lbe back and important for our season. As for Bridcut, sounds just the kind of player we need to lead our midfield and complement the ball players. Please keep him fit.

I wasn’t impressed when we signed him and his first two involvements seemed to confirm my fears - a pass straight to one of their players followed by a foul. After that I thought he did well. Hopefully he can get match fit and avoid injury.

We will be better this season than last, nothing to worry about,Appleton and his backroom staff are better than the comings and goings we had under Critchley, stability is key and the way all of the backroom team congratulated Jerry was there too see 👍🏻

But good also as well have a revved up Dougall who will have to perform to come back in. Obviously he will play as sat tues demands some rotation.

But competition makes players bring their a game if they want to play more.

Dougall if used right is fantastic too at breaking up play.

Would he have got on if Carey hadn't missed a glorious chance in first half injury time?

Fine margins.

Great debut and playing with him should really help Patino and Wright. If he stays fit he plays because he did better in that half than Kenny has all season. A rest and reset for Kenny will do him good, he’s not a bad player to bring on with 30 to go.
