Gutting really to loose in that manner, goal of the round and a wicked deflecting.

3 5 2 looked like it may be a good fit but we’d need to have a look at it in the league, but we need a link between Midfield and the strikers somethings still not working there.

Thorniley also looked very good for me might need another chance to prove what he can do. (Did he actually have a first?)

I get the feeling it was a damage limitation exercise. I wonder if we'd been more positive it could have worrked out differently. Did we show too much respect? Brighton are a bang average team, they have on paper a far superior squad, and at times we looked timid, we stood off and gave too much time and space. I'd have liked to see us press more, close down and limit the time on the ball they had. I realise the difference in league position but that doesnt mean we shouldn't have got at them and made it an uncomfortable afternoon. Yes we were understrength and the team wasnt our first choice but that shouldn't mean we couldnt have mixed it up a bit more. Call me old fashioned but I want to see my team leave lungs on the pitch after 90 minutes, can some of them say they did? Maybe over critical and some of you will no doubt not like it, but I set a high bar. It was always a big ask today and losing so many to Covid was a big miss. Onwards and upwards.

I haven't actually counted but I would hazard a guess that you have used more than 3 words Eric.
