BSM or Play Offs?

Don’t know if this has been posted before (apologies if it has) but you can only pick one although both would be a bonus.

Beat Peterborough on Tuesday and another trip to Wembley
OR
Lose on Tuesday but make the play offs.

I’d prefer the play offs.

would you rather find a pound coin or a twenty pound note?
Depends if you need to release a trolley to carry a free months shopping from Waitrose to the car. You have to take it all there and then otherwise you lose it.

I agree though. I'd take missing out on the p/o's but still be in the running rather than The Cardboard Trophy.

It hasn't been posted before because it's a daft question. The play offs every time.
Fess, see my earlier post.
It’s not a daft question at all. If you have a son or daughter who supports the pool and you gave them the chance to go to Wembley they would snatch your hand off.

I’d prefer the Cup.

Guaranteed Wembley.

The food outlets at the stadium are great value for money and the beer in London is always first class.

I love watching us play the likes of Cheltenham and Stevenage in league 1.

Honest old school rugby style football none of this new fangled tippy tappy nonsense . Long may it continue .

Surprised there’s any debate over this .

Wembley is a memorable day out, if you could guarantee a play off win then fair enough but can’t see this team doing well in the play offs if we somehow snuck in

All those who do not rate the competition should look at the excited faces of the young children if we get to Wembley, which represents a new generation of fans.
I can honestly say I have enjoyed every BSM match which is not the case with our league form

Nobody’s saying it’s not a good day out for the kids. It’s just not a prestigious competition and anyone comparing it to the playoffs is off their rocker.

It’s actually a fair point that for every one of us us ‘older’ fans that have maybe done at least 4/5 Wembley finals and 2/3 Cardiff ones there are now a generation of fans that have not seen us at either.

It’s a cup final, which ever way you look at it.

Sorry if I piss on your vision but what's happened to the new generations of Blackpool fans from the visits to Wembley for Torquay, Scunthorpe, Yeovil, Cardiff, West ham, Exeter and Lincoln?
We've probably been to Wembley more times in the last 30 years than any other club bar the top serial finalists from the premier league, yet our home attendances remain as is, not too many young excited faces.
Another Wembley appearance won't change a thing🤷

Our home attendances are around 15% higher than they have ever been (at this level) in history?!

The North Stand is full of late teens. We haven't been to Wembley in numbers since 2012, so I'd hazard the majority haven't been.

You can't compare Exeter and Lincoln, one was under a boycott(5k) and other Covid(4k).

Only cup competition most of us will have ever seen Blackpool win and the only cup competition we will likely ever see Blackpool win. Respect it
The word entitled has been banded around alot recently & here's my input. When we won the LDV (or equivalent) twice in the early 2000's the club had been drifting around tiers 3 & 4 since 1978 with not a great deal to cheer about. Those 2 visits to Cardiff were great & to finally win a trophy. Since then we've had a season in the PL and a few in the Championship. I was fortunate to get a ticket for the PO final vs Lincoln.
Getting back to the Championship is all I'm bothered about & have zero interest in the BUMS Cup (random U added for effect).

We should be going for both!
A winning cup run should enhance our chances of developing a winning-run we need to get into the play-offs.
Completion for places is good and we are up to date with our fixtures for this season.
As fo which if we could only have one.....as others have said it's bloody obvious !
I hate not being in The Championship!!

Why choose? if we play like we did on Saturday for the rest of the season, we can accomplish both
