BSM Semi Final ticket details.

What difference are you on about?

This is a bonus match like the last round its not like the club are losing money on these matches, its also on Sky TV so surely any shortfall is covered in the Sky money

Anyway the point isn't about folk on here wanting to pay less its about folk on this site wanting the club to do more to increase the attendance

Marketing and communication is pretty poor at the club and has been for a while i just want more fans in to watch us, is that such a problem?
In my opinion, this is an opportunity for our loss-making club to bring in some extra revenue and thety should take it

I don't care about extra attendees if it costs the club money particularly given how good the atmosphere was for the Forest and Bolton games that were priced at 15 quid.

I care more about the club making some money than I do about the number of people in the ground, particularly when the numbers in the ground don't guarantee a better atmosphere.

But your guessing thousands difference for a fiver it won't happen maybe if an Adult ticket was £5 would put a lot more bums on seats.

Just spoke to a couple of fans who go now and again.
Q- You going to the semi No and I hadn't even told them how much it was!
Wembley and they'll be in the queue outside BR.
I genuinely have no idea what the difference would be. If only 3500 bothered for a quarter final against Bolton that wasn't televised, it's difficult to predict. But attendance figures are linked to price and, as I've said, I'd love to see as many at Bloomfield Road cheering the team on as possible. I'm fully understanding of the fact that the club is a business. Ultimately, I'll be there and hoping we can make it through to another Wembley final.

That's not what I said now is it? It's a one off game in a tournament that has been poorly attended to date, which tells me the price point is wrong. I'm pretty sure the club budgets for the club to exit at R1 in all the cup competitions, I hardly think Sadler will go bust offering more affordable tickets for a one off game.
The previpus games have been poorly attended more because of the nature of the competition than the price.

The club needs revenue and within reason it should take every opportunity to generate that revenue. Tickets for 25 quid would not be reasonable for a game like this. Tickets below 10 quid would cost the club revenue. At 15 quid the balance is probably about right (although I would charge more!).

I think the price point is spot on. £15 down to £10 would make a difference to very few who may then possibly attend but the flip side is you then lose the extra fiver from everyone else who is attending anyway. Most as has been said just can't be arsed and if that's the case then so be it. The atmospheres at Forest and Bolton games have been great so I'm looking forward to it regardless.

It's all opinions but I'm glad your not the one in charge, you're not an Oyston are you? 😂

If cheering on your team in a semi-final with Wembley the reward isn't appealing enough, then we might as well all give up.
Its clear how some view the competition, although there should be more interested the further we get yes.

However, it's not a local game with history like Bolton, the increase to 15 was justifiable with policing costs.

This one however is live on sky. In the past in the championship they did a deal game for 20 quid for a game on sky. Why? Because less attend on weeknights especially on tv and the lower price helped keep numbers up.

I’m thinking a couple of things on this.

There’s a strong argument to reduce them to a tenner and fill the ground (but would we anyway?). Sky Tv coverage will effect the attendance too so a lower price point is an option to get more people there.

The price point argument goes out the window though when the Wembley tickets come out and everyone jumps on it.

However, it’s 1 game from Wembley and after the atmospheres v Forest and Bolton there’s a strong argument that the ground is full of people that want to be there and £15 isn’t too dear at all. All the boring, negative and depressing people can stay at home and post on the match thread bringing their dark clouds to the board & not to the ground.

I think after reading some nonsense on here the last few days I’m leaning to the latter option.
Not sure that's the main factor in the atmosphere tbh. Those people would just be drowned out anyway.

The atmosphere has been poor all season not because of some depressing people, but because people were waiting for a spark. Being marooned in 8th where winning never meant going anywhere, expectation etc.

The cup games atmospheres were good but that's in part due to the performances, one taking on a prem side and doing very well, the other a local rival and the nature of Cup competitions meaning you actually progress when you win.

The Charlton game had far more people there than the cup games and that atmosphere was pretty good, although subsided a bit when we just couldn't take advantage of our dominance.

But because we could actually move up and go towards promotion it was more exiting to many and the atmosphere reflected that at points.

So if the games good, womething meaningful to play for and we're playing well, the crowd get involved.

So always more in the stadium for me.

Problem is our league position doesn’t make up for this game, it’s not like playing Man United in the FA cup 4/5th round, which would attract lots of interest and money. I am away on holiday but even if not I might watch on TV, but sorry so deflated about our league position, have loved over the club for over 50 years but we should have done so much more this season it’s hard to see how things will improve next season without changes.

WE have been good value in this comp. and this has been valuable giving squad players a chance to show what they cn do on matchnight. Rich o donnell has been my player of the comp so far. Dembele has shone ad well. Yes its the Lower League jonnies Fa cup. Dont knock it so much. WE havent lost a game so far. Last months game against Bolton was toe to toe and a breathtaking Penalty shoot out. just get down to Bloomerz and cheer the mighty on to WEMBERS. posh will be tough but we do have home advantage . UTMP

Some ridiculous comments on here - most fans don't give a shit about this comp. Its only benefit has been to give pitch time to certain players. 4 points from Posh and Bolton either side of the semi is far more important.

Just hope Critchley doesn't risk too many key players.

And yet a crowd of just under 80,000 for last years final .

There is silver ware at stake here for the trophy cabinet.
How many teams in any division are going to win a trophy of any kind this year?
I very much doubt we will be up for sod all else this year. (Hope I'm proved wrong ).
And how many finals of a cup competition are we ever going to get to and potentially win?
Certainly not the other two we entered into this season.

I'm 40+ following our club and it's the only cup I've seen us win and ever will.

Yep a cups a cup. For those not as into the competition, just pretend it's a better cup, works brilliantly.

You have to see the two things differently mate, because they are. I know you can't go, but all you can do is play the game in front of you.

It doesn't make up for the league position (which isn't untenable anyway), it's not meant to. It's completely separate, as all cup competitions are. OK, you can rank them in order of importance - FA, League then this one. We're never going to win the first two, so why not give this a good go.

I know I'm stating the obvious, but that's how it is. I hope you can get to a screen, wherever you're going.

100% agree - and I'd suggest the crowds so far reflect that.

I would like to go, but had already arranged something for the day, so it looks like a local pub and a pint or three for me.

For a final eliminator which leads to a Wembley final I can't believe that there's so much argy bargy about the moderate admission prices for next weeks match.
I know that Blackpool is an underprivileged area in general but come on now?!
Twelve , fifteen quid...price of a pizza and a pint ?
These lads need our support and, as we've proved over and over again this season, our vocal backing has very often proved decisive.
Get your tickets bought and will our team on to Wembley.... where we'd have a great chance of winning the trophy.

PS: I'm a long standing season ticket holder as well 😉👍

We're out of the other two, so this becomes the most important.

Still pretty early yet for our fanbase. At a guess probably a bit over 2k excluding hospitality so far...

Hard to say what the demand will be, but I'm going to guess and say it'll be around 6k home fans...

Some wins might help, then again if we're going nowehere in the league people might jump on this. Hopefully they do anyway.

Still pretty early yet for our fanbase ? Just for once I’d like to read of our fans “snapping up “ the tickets just like I read about other clubs fans doing .

That's the reality though, a late buying fanbase for games like this, as there's no rush, as everyone knows tickets are available and will be.
