Bundesliga Final Day

For all you Bundesliga watchers or not....Bayern 1 up and Dortmund just gone 1 down home to Mainz....Dortmund need to win to secure title.

Dortmund have been woeful. So slow and sleepwalking to defeat. They need to score soon or they are done.

The standard of football is pretty poor but it makes for exciting games. Dortmund slow and one dimensional for the most part and were lucky Mainz didn't extend their lead. There will be a lot of BVB tears in their dunkel tonight.

Massive choke from Dortmund, a home game against a side who've lost their last four games and have nothing to play for and you don't win?

I'm sure Bellingham abscence was a huge blow to them, but 2022/23 will live long in their memories for all the wrong reasons.

Sadly the English and Scottish Premier Leagues are becoming just as monotonous. As is the French
Rangers being sent down the divisions ruined the SPL, it was already a two horse race and now Rangers are playing catch up. How boring must it be, Celtic did a "treble treble", three trebles on the bounce, it'd be like playing a video game on the easiest difficulty.

But yeah, the French, German and Scottish leagues are one horse races. Only one that could change with is Scotland really. PSG dwarf everyone financially, it's really surprising noone has pipped Bayern in that time as there are plenty of decent clubs.

There have always been periods of dominance in English football, it can be a natural thing. Liverpool won 11 titles in 17 years from 72/73 to 89/90. United won 12 titles in 20 years from 92/93 to 12/13.

City have clearly been naughty boys financially but winning 4 titles in 5 years is hardly the English top flight turning into a Bundesliga situation. Or maybe they'll go on to win it for another 12 seasons and counting like Bayern Munich, I doubt it though!

It's 5 titles in 6 years. And it has got monotonous. We'll have to agree to disagree on that one.
Like you say, the way they've managed it is probably down to financial doping, but it's still boring
seeing the same team win it nearly every year. It's not exactly good for the game.

Well there is a difference in what you personally believe is monotony and Bayern Munich winning eleven on the bounce. Did you claim it was monotonous when Liverpool won it four times on the bounce in the 80s, or when United won it four times on the bounce in the 90s/00s? City haven't even done that, it probably feels monotonous because you don't like City.

I don't really keep up with the Prem, I'm only arsed about Blackpool so can't say I notice either way. I find it hard to buy into City being the only bad guys up at the top though, Liverpool, United, Chelsea all spend obscene amounts. There is definitely an us and them style gap between certain clubs, I'm not going to lose any sleep over one of those clubs being fucked over by City whilst they fuck over the rest of the pyramid collectively.

Had some great trips to Germany with several other avftters during the boycott years...

However, the Bundesliga itself is like groundhog day with those arrogant Bavarian ####'s winning every year!

Couldn't believe how Dortmund bottled it yesterday!😣

As far as I’m aware none of the other teams you mentioned broke any rules to achieve success
And City aren’t being charged with spending obscene amounts or even spending at all.
Probably best if you actually understood what the charges are
But be fair I don’t think many people do. They just think they’re being charged with spending money. Which they aren’t
And I would think the Prem was boring if it were dominated by any team, not just City.
