Yeh, BBC news and motd 2Has it been confirmed? Can’t see anything
I agree. Apparently there are some strong links between the Saudis and the company owned by Chelsea's owner. So in effect the Saudis could have ownership of two Premier League clubs, which obviously isn't allowed. Don't hold your breath waiting for the Premier League to do anything about it though. The game's drowning in it's own greed. The Saudis are ruining the game with transfer fees tho…….
Yes I read about that as well. Also read another article which ‘suggested’ other teams have links to Saudi clubs and the transfer fees are inflated to a) get around FFP and b) give the selling club more money to spend on replacement signings. Would certainly explain £40m for Henderson for example.I agree. Apparently there are some strong links between the Saudis and the company owned by Chelsea's owner. Let's hope somewhere down the line it all implodes, football has a complete reset and it goes back to being a sport.
It was 12m for Henderson and 40m for Fabinho. But yes I agree with your sentiment. Chelsea seem to have sold the most players to the Saudis. Which like you say, would be a very convenient way to get round FFP. Just sell your players to your own owners/shareholders for an over inflated fee. Easy if you can get away with it!Yes I read about that as well. It’s all very dodgy and as you say hopefully the arse falls out it sooner rather than later and we can get back to a fairer (if that has ever been the case) competition.
£12m is still a lot for a player that will have no sell-on value but thanks for correctingIt was 12m for Henderson and 40m for Fabinho. But yes I agree with your sentiment. A bit like Man City being sponsored for millions by non existent companies linked to Abu Dhabi. Easy if you can get away with it!
Nine year deal. How can they pay this when they are being accused of all sorts under Financial Fair Play?
We did - for £110m. But then Chelsea started playing at silly beggars ...Kin ell thought we went in with a last min bid
Think you've got the wrong Pool.We did - for £110m. But then Chelsea started playing at silly beggars ...
When I first heard the monkey hangers had submitted a bid, I thought someone was pullin' mi plonker ...Think you've got the wrong Pool.
Alledgedly the Saudis have got their fingers in the pie at Chelsea115m for a player from Brighton but it’s Saudi who are killing the game with ridiculous figures……
I just knew the Saudis would get fingered at some stage ...Alledgedly the Saudis have got their fingers in the pie at Chelsea
Throw as much as you like, it will still be an inferior league. Players of Neymar's class will soon drop their skill level and nobody will really be interested. Just like LIV golf, nobody will care.I see Neymar has signed for Al-Hilal for a transfer fee of £77million, and he’ll be picking up a mere £129millon a year! that’s 6 times more than he was on at PSG. The Saudi piggy bank is an absolute bottomless pit.
