NC regularly praises Callum, but then uses him as a 'utility' player, moving him around the pitch like a chess piece. The guy's never been given one position & that has undoubtedly affected his performances. He'll always give 100%, even if he's having an off day.

He hasn’t been ‘linked with’ them. Some mong in a clickbait factory has picked out a random name and spun a few paragraphs of drivel out. There’s nothing in here at all to suggest he’ll go to Derby.

Why a now championship team just promoted from League 1 would want Connolly I find slightly baffling.

Good on his day but been a season to forget for him and not sure he would be up to returning to championship standard

He's experienced and can cover multiple defensive positions for one wage and he's available on a free transfer so he'll find work even if it's not with the first club he gets linked with.

We'll be looking for a L2 version who can step up and do the same in L1 on a fraction of what we paid Connolly I would hazard a guess.
 
A really good pro, served us well with a great attitude, but we can probably use the money better. I didn't think he was as good in midfield as some are suggesting. He's basically a stopper, he's not a great user of the ball. He gave us some defensive steel, which we are going to lack without him and Marvin. Pennington Casey doesn't feel as strong to me.

Disagree RB ...Was asked to play out of position almost every game. Had some good uns ..and a few not so good. Then the twerps who just want a scapegoat, and never kicked a ball, decided he was their target this week. As you would know more than most, a high degree of playing well is confidence, and the usual suspects targetted him, ..as they do others. Have lost count of OUR good players the keyboard warriors have ruined.

He was that good of a defensive midfielder , he never got picked to play there.

Staying injury free , does not make a good player.

His positional sense , no matter what position he played , was appalling.

He was by McCarthy, think he also made him caprtain.
McCarthy is possibly the worst managerial appointment this club has ever made so if he rated Connolly i am happy in my assessment that he wasn't very good.
As for Critchley picking Connolly as left wing back that was even more bizarre, my favourite armchair would do a better job in that position! It's a genuine wingback and probably more mobile!!

Sydeney, I very much doubt that some twerp posting a message on AVFTT would ruin anyone, for starters he may not even read the post and even if he did he's have to be pretty touchy for it to ruin his game, giving players verbal abuse during games is a different matter, that's one thing I cannot abide, real supporters would never do that and that is something I would never condone.

He has been way off it this season, but play him as a DM and he does a job, Critchley likes to class him as a utility player, so he never gets settled into a position so he gets caught out regularly, he may fit at Derby who knows?

Far too slow for a DM. Ok at a number of positions not very good at any.

From what I've heard, he was supposedly carrying a 'slight knock' through the Spring period; and, as for 'just not facied', apart from a 'furtive glance' he was once rumoured to have exchanged with a female member of staff in the ticket office, nothing came of it, and therefore there is really little else of interest to refer to in that area either.
