Callum Connolly linked with ....

If Callum leaves then good luck to him and he leaves with my thanks for his service to the shirt & best wishes for the rest of his career.
Slagging off any playing BFC player is bad form. Abuse should be aimed at any crap manager or players from any other team šŸ¤£
Edit:
NC regularly praises Callum, but then uses him as a 'utility' player, moving him around the pitch like a chess piece. The guy's never been given one position & that has undoubtedly affected his performances. He'll always give 100%, even if he's having an off day.

His versatility is an asset for any club. I think there's only goalkeeper he didn't get to have a go at.

Whatever happened towards the end of the Leyton Orient away game when he lost his head looked like the natural end for him here because he wasn't a happy bunny at all. And I'm sure agents will be hard at work seeking a fresh start.

He has been poor all season and was rightfully dropped when it became clear we desperately needed to start picking up points and consecutive wins over the past few weeks.

I actually think he could be good backup in a DM position, like others have stated, but we should bite the hand off anyone offering a half-decent fee. I can't see him getting a Championship move myself, however.

He's in the last month of his option year so his next contract will be signed as a free agent

He filled in at RB in previous seasons & was steady, but this season he along with others seem to have gone backwards.
Filled in should be on his headstone.

I've never had a problem with him standing in at RB, CB or DCM for 3 or 4 games, he's reliable at that, but that's about the max you'd want him.

Whoever played him at LWB should take up the offer of a free bed at Broadmoor.

Have all the players signed up to CJ's agent after the last, not a footballer and got a new deal that borders on scandalous after a shite rumour was started like the O/P.

Connolly is not League 1 standard player especially not with his fuckin Dad in charge here as he was shoehorned in at LWB ffs.

Might of jumped the gun a bit. Was not much slagging off but I agree with your statement, good luck to him

Half of Connolly's problem was that it was believed he was our highest paid player and as such we expected to much from him. Good professional but time to go.

Ah, thought he was coming up to his option year, missed that. Tbf he's someone who is probably worth a punt as cover, if played in his right position occasionally. Not going to lose any sleep over him leaving, anyway.

I don't if it's true about being the highest paid player, but if so then he's only that by default having lost other high earners, like Yates and Madine. I don't think that would put pressure on him or expectation.

When last season started I said Connolly is a squad player, not a fixture. It was always going to end badly. See also Casey.

I like him. Hard as nails and gives 100%.
Back four or midfield - he's versatile.
Needs to be part of a team with talented footballers.
He'll rough them up, win the ball and give it to lads who can play the piano.
Problem at BFC - he's with too many duffers.

Moving him around the pitch was the problem. My pet sloth could move faster.

Ah but will he get a tune out of them? Like Terry.šŸ˜‰

As has been said he's a utility player who can stand in a few different positions & he has done ok in the past. But more recently he has either not been able to play in Critchley's favoured system or just had enough I really don't know. All I can remember about him, is chasing around kicking their players & I'm surprised he didn't get sent off an a couple of occasions. I wish him well as with any other of our players we may release.
