Connolly can cover several positions and so is the perfect squad player. He wouldn't be a starter for me unless cover for an injury but so valuable to have on the bench.

They looked dangerous on the right, and Connolly and Hubby battled to keep them out.
Agree that Connolly might not be the most technical player, but he's a grafter, a fighter, and a player who does the basics well.
Probably one of the most valuable members of the squad due to his versatility and leadership qualities.
