I thought that when I saw those posts ... did feel like a Goodybye.Seen a couple of posts on social media from players with handshake and blue heart emojis… offskies
And I can see him playing the same formation again next season.Wouldn’t blame him either if he left. His resurgence in form has been one of very few positives to come out of this season and he’s been a victim of the stubborn one’s insistence of playing a 3-5-2 system that suited no one.
Which players? Perhaps it signified others leaving?Seen a couple of posts on social media from players with handshake and blue heart emojis… offskies
Under contract doesn't mean there won't be a parting of the ways if both parties agree. He’s under contract for a long time. He’s not going anywhere
I see you've changed your name again> Ready for your fantasist ITK knowledge. Well you did have a 100% record last season and last summer, 100% phuck all accurate I have no doubt you will be able to keep up that proud record! He’s under contract for a long time. He’s not going anywhere
And that’s the most concerning thought for next season, carry on with that shite and fans will start disappearing quicker than they did at Reading last Saturday when the 3rd went in!And I can see him playing the same formation again next season.
Damn I thought I held the record for my 99% complete bollox knowledge, pipped at the post :(I see you've changed your name again> Ready for your fantasist ITK knowledge. He won’t be on his own either. If he is off, there’s only one person to blame
Byers commented with the blue heart and Casey also put a peace gesture on his insta story. All very cryptic but I spose they have to beWhich players? Perhaps it signified others leaving?

On a consistency level neither Marv or Pennington did enough to be picked ahead of Casey nearly every game. Unlike Ollie neither look comfortable on the ball.Wouldn’t blame him either if he left. I think he was involved. Smoking out and crushing any dissent in the environment is a massive priority for coach nil-cahones CritchleyThere were rumours on here recently that Jordan G and at least one other player have had a fallout with NC. Maybe the 'other player' is Ollie.
I hope not, as I believe he's our best defender, who is is still developing.
IF the rumours are true, I know who I'd sooner leave the club!
You're right it does but it didn’t work in his favour. If we’d have played 4 at the back the defenders would have been far more comfortable with Casey alongside Eki and Hubby at LB IMO.Eh? 3-5-2 includes three central defenders, surely that increases his chances of playing?
Also, he wasn't happy on the occasions Connolly was selected ahead of him.On a consistency level neither Marv or Pennington did enough to be picked ahead of Casey nearly every game. Unlike Ollie neither look comfortable on the ball.
In no way is he our best defender.Probably our best defender so would seem strange to be letting him leave. He is contracted until 2026 so if he is going then hopefully it’s for a decent fee.
Marv is simply a better defender than Casey. He gets in more blocks, cuts out more crosses and wins more headers. Casey has certainly improved but he's not at the level Marv is as a defender. That said, Casey was harshly left out of the team but that was for Pennington. On a consistency level neither Marv or Pennington did enough to be picked ahead of Casey nearly every game. Agree about Marvs form returning & the silly mistakes cut out. Pennington is steady at best & if I was Casey I'd be getting peed off being benched.Marv is simply a better defender than Casey. i think Marv, Casey, Pennington and Husband are all decent players certainly at L1 level, so if Critch is gonna persist with this 3 at the back then he's got good options.Agree about Marvs form returning & the silly mistakes cut out. Reading's first goal the scorer had the freedom of the box, so if they are all decent players something is sadly amiss.i think Marv, Casey, Pennington and Husband are all decent players certainly at L1 level, so if Critch is gonna persist with this 3 at the back then he's got good options.
Spot on Willie another mystery in a season of manyOn a consistency level neither Marv or Pennington did enough to be picked ahead of Casey nearly every game. Unlike Ollie neither look comfortable on the ball.
It's a fact that many forwards have free headers in the box at ALL levels. That doesn't make the defenders bad players. If one player was not marking his man on a regular basis then yes there'd be a problem but i don't see that as the case.Reading's first goal the scorer had the freedom of the box, so if they are all decent players something is sadly amiss.

Dembele and Rhodes both seemed to like Critch.Critchley seems to have upset a lot of the squad. No room for any criticism or you're dropped or out.
this lazy urban myth has grown about Marv on the ball. It's an absolute age since he had his bad spell by giving the ball away with his passing. And that's why fans get nervous because they remember that so assume it's gonna happen every time he gets the ball. Fact is, he hasn't had a bad game on the ball for a long time now and his passing is just as good as all those other defenders. And as the central one of the three he's on the ball more than the others. And Marv is a better defender than all the others too.Marv is a solid defender but absolutely hopeless on the ball so simply doesn't suit our formation or way of playing. Casey and the defence as a whole always looked better when he was in the centre of the 3. Due to that he would be the future CB for me and I'd actually let Marv go.
If we changed formation to a 4 and could play them both in a pairing then clearly that would involve them both and I'd want to keep both but I don't see it happening.
It would be a shame if we have lost him but hopefully it's an extension maybe
Would take a big feeUnder contract doesn't mean there won't be a parting of the ways if both parties agree.

It’s not a lazy urban myth. He cannot pass it accurately or quickly enough and with enough consistency to be reliable. Watch how Peterborough’s defenders move the ball into midfield. Of course it's a myth. You are making things up. You talk about quickly enough. Name another player in our defence who passes it quicker. There isn't one. Peterboro may pass it quickly to their midfield because perhaps what's what their manager wants them to do. Our manager wants them to retain possession and so we have slow laboured possession along the back line which involves ALL the players. Don't lay the blame at Marvs door for following instructions.Like i said name the last game when Marv had a bad game on the ball? Just because you get nervous watching him on the ball doesn't mean he's getting his passes wrong! It’s not a lazy urban myth. I wouldn’t be either and I'm 55.Also, he wasn't happy on the occasions Connolly was selected ahead of him.
nope, it's you that is. i watch very closely. You’re genuinely talking out of your backside. You need to watch more closely.
Big Marv has got a very serious flaw,Marv is simply a better defender than Casey. He gets in more blocks, cuts out more crosses and wins more headers. We will agree to disagree on this then. I don't think it's a myth at all. I think he's really poor on the ball. Good defender but certainly not good on the ball.this lazy urban myth has grown about Marv on the ball. It's an absolute age since he had his bad spell by giving the ball away with his passing.
