I am imagining this or did we play Celtic at home in about 1983/84 as a benefit for something ? Can't see anything on google apart from a friendly in 1971.

Think there was a friendly in the early 70's. In the 80's we played Liverpool in a charity game after the Gynn disaster and the Pool team had a couple of Celtic players guesting. Tommy Burns and Danny McGrain from memory

Correct. Even though it was a friendly Danny McGrain hugely impressed me. The match in the early 70s featured a young Kenny Dalgleish for Celtic.

Think it was Celtic U23's. They still brought a few thousand fans down for it. Was a bit chaotic on the Kop and after the game too. Think the score was 4-3 but can't remember which way.
