Central League Cup Final.

Friend sent me some pics earlier from the Kier Starmer event and there were players on the pitch - looked like youngsters and so maybe training on there?

Just a reminder for all those that think £1.99 for TTV is extortionate this evening (7pm) is your chance to get something for nothing from BFC and a chance to assess for yourself our young talent.

@Insider sorry for all the questions, do you know if the game will be streamed live tonight. Can’t make it tonight unfortunately. Also is the u18 game confirmed for 2pm Friday? Also heard some talk about some possible friendly games on Sunday?

I doubt the game will be streamed but I can't say for certain.
The u18s are scheduled to play the Nobbers at Bloomfield Rd on Friday 2pm kick off. Like all things check for final confirmation.
The Development squad have a friendly lined up against Man Utd next Tuesday evening, also at Bloomfield Rd, and again with a 7pm kick off.
I'll put something on here when there is something official from the Club.

Strange.

This for free or a Tom Tyebull non-interview for 1.99. Doesn't make sense.

Never did watch the Tyebull interview as I just didn't login to view.

Good luck to the lads tonight.

It’s on YouTube 👍

The injury curse continues as Lescott goes off early with a knock. Is there something wrong with or pitch?

Playing okay, slow build up, possession based but no end product, Wigan looking more dangerous, the lad McMannaman on the right wing looks a tricky player.

Apter looks our best prospect by a distance to me. Trusty and Squires both done ok though. One or two nice touches from Moffat but looks very lightweight. Holmes looks like he's moping around a bit which is the complete opposite of how he's been when he's come on as a sub for the first team, so you can never really tell from games like these.
I suspect that Apter could make the first team squad next year though. Intelligent running, decent first touch and if he were playing with better players he'd do ok I reckon.

I think Trusty has been the pick of our players and the centre back who isn't Will Squires looks good, plays it out of defence really well. Apter looks decent, Holmes looks a bit isolated and we haven't got anything into the box for him yet.

He's been out of position a couple of times, once where he had to foul and was lucky to get away without a yellow. But yes, he's very decent, got a good turn and is a unit. There's going to be no bullying him in midfield in a couple of years time.

Really impressed with Rob Apter. Great first touch and his second ball is clever and precise . Really hope to see him feature quite a bit next year
Blackpool should have wine it. Brad missed 2 great chances unfortunately

What's with this carrying the ball to the opposite player then dropping it before you hand it over ? Mind games it might be but if I were the manager I'd be having a word . Too much of this nonsense in today's game .. bit of a shame to see it with the youth teams too.

didn't have any commentary on but it was a decent watch. I thought the lad in midfield with the afro was very good for us.
Trusty. He's played a few pre season games and looked decent. Been on loan at Hartlepool as well so played a bit of league football.

Really entertaining game, especially as it opened up in the second half. Holmes could have won it there at the end but they kept their heads for the penalties. Well done lads smashed it 🍊🍊🍊🍊

he reminds me of that other lad we had, name won't come to me, who we let go who was involved in a few pre-season games a while back. Think he ended up at Cardiff. Insy will tell me his name.

Antwi. Yes, physical and moves the ball crisply.

Just got home , thought in the first half wigan were the better side (just) , second half we seemed to grow into the game and we’re miles better. I felt that Apter, Opawole, Squires and Holmes were our standout players but Lankshear got better as the game went on although young Mcmanaman gave him the runaround in the first half . Overall a great season for the youngsters .
