CEO Speaks, Critchley Safe!

So, no matter how bad any situation is you should just bear with it and carry on. Glad you wasn't leading the Oyston out campaign 🤦

The only thing that'll create a more toxic atmosphere is if Critchley continues in his formations that don't work.
This isn't anywhere near that though is it.

We're in a disappointing moment, considering where we expected to be, not a dire one. The away form has been shite, but the home form really good.

I doubt he'll change the formation and tbh the formation has got us a great home record, I think the formation hand is vastly overplayed. It's formation, but players move, it's patterns of play, confidence, intent, skill etc. We could play the most attacking formation going and still be shite if we passed it slowly and fluffed every final ball in. I think players inverted can have an effect too, Lyons looks poor on that side, CJ has looked good bit at other times you feel he'd be better on the other side. I don't know the answer and it's up NC to sort it.

If he keeps failing then it'll take care of itself.

As for SS and the board, focusing on too many things at once rarely works. Get us back in the Champ and then worry about the East.
The East and Training Ground are all long term projects. They are not going to be built this year, (although I could be wrong). Planning can take ahead, not to mention the cost of building materials at the present time. You can’t just put these projects off until you stop losing your away matches! Win our away matches and keep winning at home and we will be fine.

If it wasn't for family commitments I would be there supporting the team, but unfortunately can't make it.

I honestly don’t think we will see a new training ground or east stand.

Are you finding that from your money tree?

Well if Rhodes goes that's one very decent wage. If Marvin and Dougall go that's 2 decent wages at League 1 and as the latter 2 are both contracted then the two will command a fee. So I would imagine the money tree will not be needed! 🤦

Are they both going? That is just conjecture, nobody really knows.
If they do go then fair enough but from what I remember it was something someone came up with to account for their absence, and it snowballed from there.
They might both just have hamstring injuries and the club don't want anyone to know.....
People make things up on this board all the time.

Look, none of us including people at the club are happy about where we are and the away results.

A saving grace may have been...we are ALWAYS shite at Christmas.

The club has got rid before and it didn't work out given who they went for. They wil have targets lined up for NC and what he wants to do.

All us fans can do is turn up and support the team.

There's little point in creating an unhappy atmosphere, if he continues to fail in his goal the club will act by themselves.

So for me I'll turn up and support the team.

l can’t remember the last time we weren’t shite at Christmas TBH 🤷‍♂️

Yes, we’ve got a poor away form - so do a lot of teams in all divisions. I could understand the panic if we we‘re down where the Cods are. We’re not, we’re bloody 8th. Get behind the team, the club and the lads, there’re going to need that 12th man.
we have no divine right to walk this league, but NC needs to play a formation that works and stop this tinkering bollocks.
win today and we await the fair weather supporters reaction. Lose, the Samaritans Phone will be ringing off the hook!

Get behind the club?

One that stabs fans in the back?

Lose today and Critchley must walk.

I honestly don’t think we will see a new training ground or east stand.
The TG planning is in but SS did say costs had gone ott, but we'll see when the planning decision is made. Inflation has come down more recently, but we do have an improved Squires gate for now.

But the east is part of the council timeframe and they have to spend their money or lose it I think. So after the council getting rid of people with CPO's the club will back out and not go ahead with the agreed plans? I can't see that.

For me the east is far more exciting too, as it's something we'll see in person every game, it'll change the feel and dynamic of the stadium. We've all got used to that crap east but it brings the stadium down, whenever you see a pic from the east the stadium looks far more impressive.

It'll be good when this actually happens as it'll help us for big games and maximise revenue but it'll also mean SS has a big project in the bag that demonstrates he's serious and people's skepticism, given the past, will reduce.

As we all know, the winter window always brings its challenges, but if the right individuals become available and fit the profile of what we’re looking for in a Blackpool player, we’re hopeful we will be able to bring in one or two who will strengthen Neil’s squad for the second half of the season.
Will it take more than one or two? Have always felt we have a decent squad and if we bring Apter back I think just a bit of a shake up and get Lavery and Kouassi back might just make the difference.

The spanner in the works around the 'ditch the critch' message is that our home form is the best in the league, we're in the play off mix by any real measure of where you'd need to be at this stage of a season and the coach can point to previous experiences as to why it's going to come good away from home.

Time will tell whether the end result really is positive but it's hardly surprising the board aren't listening to to naysayers.
