Changed team for Coventry

After such a great ,but surprising win against QPR a number of fans are saying play the same team . I always believe it's horses for courses and believe that after studying the opposition ,you then make your final decision on your team. Coventry will be a different animal to QPR and they may cause problems that QPR didn't .

Would people be disappointed if changes were made . I think a similar team and bench may be used ,but I feel that the starting 11 may be slightly different. Anyway don't be too disappointed if the team is change . Just lets hope it wins.

Garbutt, Connolly, and Carey in midfield, Florini, Patino and Rogers on the bench, gosh I hope not! 😂

Yup same for me - and I reckon Mick knows how confident this side will be and any changes might change that.
Always say give the opposition more to think about than they’ll give you.

I don't see what he could change without it being like for like weaker.

Maxwell plays
Lyons dropped for Jordy G? The act of a madman.
Nelson, Thorniley both in
Husband to miss out for Dommy T? Nah.

In midfield you have Fiorin, Pat O' and Connelly. Can anyone see Garbutt, Dougall and Carey coming in for those? Bringing Carey in would only be for Fiorini if not fit and would mean a switch round with Pat O' sitting deeper which would be dangerous.

The only non-enforced change I can possibly see is Kesh for CJ depending on how he sees them.

Yates to get to the ground at 10AM to have cotton wool surgically removed.

Only possiblesvfor me is Keshi in but I still think he will be short to start, apart from that Gabriel Rwb with Lyons Lwb a possibility but tbf CJ did okay.
Anything else would be daft really especially in midfield, I especially don't wanna see Carey in there.

Very crafty Wiz 🤣 .
You throw a line out without saying what your 'slightly different' may be.
Vs Wigan, Coventry got outplayed in midfield 1st half, so Robins changed the formation at half time & took control.
Based on his decision following the Burnley game ("they played well & deserved to retain their positions"), I think Mick will keep the same starting 11, but instruct the fullbacks to keep it tight on the wings, to restrict Coventry from getting the ball into Gyökeres

The problem for me if he changes things too much is what it does to us never mind the opposition.
We have hardly played well all season.
Keep it simple and only make changes if you have to.

They may be more potent in attack and Gyokeres may need to be man marked or doubled up on. I think he should be playing the same team ,but maybe a bit of tweeking needs to be done.

Never quite get this argument at any club that the team / formation should be changed in order to stop the opposition. It should be the opposition feeling like they have to change to stop us. Regardless of how Coventry or anyone set up, the way we played the other night should be how we play for the rest of the season and that shouldn't change for anyone

If everyone is fit I see no reason to change.
Obviously there will be changes during the game. however, start as we did on Sat, where possible of course.

No way Hubby was immense Tuesday night.

Leave it the same only an idiot would change things after your biggest win of the season if it doesn't work with 5 subs allowed easy to mix it up.
I'm talking about playing Lyons further forward on the right in front of Gabriel, he's got goals in him.

Cov will have the same team mapped out, I’m all for a change or two but can see the thoughts behind never change a winning team

Agree in general ,but on the odd occasion you may come across an extra tall striker or a pacey winger were changes need to be made.

You have to leave it to the man in charge.
We're all over the place on here.
Only a week ago it was we HAVE to start with Bowler and Poveda.

That same 11 and formation has to be played on Saturday. We looked the most solid we have all season.

Lyons is our best and in form right back. It stays the same to a man unless injuries.

I fear the worst. MM has been bigging up the opposition (just as Appleton used to), and says, 'It's a different challenge'. It sounds like he's already planned the changes he is going to make, I really hope not. Let the opposition worry about us for a change.
