Absolutely bizarre decision from Ferrari not to change his gearbox and take the 5 place grid penalty. Just cost Leclerc his chance of a decent finish in his home race, if he gets to even start.

Might have been worth the risk, depends what Leclerc fed back to them regarding the gearbox as well, it's very tough to come back from 6th at Monaco. It's always hilarious when Ferrari mess up though.

Edit - He's not starting.

The first chance he had to feed back was on the formation laps to the grid, way too late then. Just seems such a huge gamble given the impact into the barriers yesterday. I’m sure he’d have taken 6th over starting from the pit lane or not at all.

Verstappens to lose now - cant' see him letting Botass beat hin to the first corner - then it will be race over

Yeah , quite agree, it was more like a parade than a race.
Monaco has been like that for as long as I remember watching it. It's still good to watch though, even Senna stuffed it up there and usually driver errors are the most exciting bit about the race.
Edit to add, I like Leclerc too and would do better as a co-driver at Mercedes, Bottas has wilted under the domination of Hamilton.

George Russell will be at Mercedes next season, but we do have some cracking young drivers coming through !

Senna put it in the barriers when he was a minute ahead of Prost and then just walked home and didn't talk to anyone for two days.

Monaco is boring unless you're watching an onboard of Senna back in 1988 with no power steering, no abs and a manual gearbox.

Bloody love the onboard Senna clips, that Monaco one is something else - and yep, remember he was so angry with himself- very intense driver, not been one like him since and probably never will be in the future. Edit to add, Prost can still fuck right off.
