If true this could be a big mistake by Charlie given the hire-em, fire-em culture at Fleetwood . I remember listening to him on a BBC Scotland podcast about his coaching U-21 job at Burnley and the possible move into club management. I distinctly remember him saying that the first job is the most important because if you fail you might not get another chance!
Surprised some idiots on here have not been calling for him to be ours, clowns
If he does well we would be behind a long queue.O one has said that though, I wouldn’t want him as our manager like I wouldn’t want Debbie now either, he should have been given a chance instead of Critchley but the momentum has gone now and apart from being temporary manager if Critchley was potted, I wouldn’t want any ex player who had not managed previously. We missed out on 2 ex players who Sadler should have employed, Evatt and then Edwards, it they had proved themselves in management. As for Charlie, we will now see what he is made of as a manager, if he does badly then he will have to look further down the leagues, if he does well then we would be right at looking at him.

But we would have an advantage, he’s not ready for us yet and may never be.
