Did he dive, or just in going to play the ball over balanced? Not sure he was even looking for a free-kick.

If there was a stream of his conversation with the ref, it could possibly have been along the lines of, "A nay dived. If you want to see players divin', watch the footage when I played Wellens or Bale!"
