Charlie Patino signs

Welcome to Blackpool Charlie, enjoy your football and northern hospitality.
The pies and beer are great and we have some very noisy fans to encourage you.
The Fylde coast welcomes you,Good luck young man.

He was class against Barnsley at home. Sheff Utd away he was great.

Do we not rate Keshi on here now?
Because people have short memories he was very good before injury but like any mid table team we came up short against some.
Bowler aside which one of our midfield/forwards where outstanding all season it happens against better sides that's why Marv was player of the season.

If he is any good we can't buy him.
With wages at super-inflated prices I think we're in a new phase of football strategy in the lower leagues. Picking up on what Sadler said in the Scrafton piece - that we have to develop on and off the pitch in order to get to a point where the better targets are affordable - then the loan market is a good way of getting us there.

I can’t see Tharme going on loan -MoM on a couple of matches according to Matt Scrafton. Dale, Hamilton, Garbutt and Keshi yes.
Have we suddenly signed loads of wingers? Keshi is going no where and while Husband is injured. Neither is Garbutt.

Tharme is probably going to head out on loan, if he doesn't then Thorniley will go on a perm.
Hamilton will need to be sold somewhere.
You'll see one of Virtue or Dougall go if we see Stewart become fit and available for some games.
We know he wants another striker/winger so that may then see Dale/Keshi go too.

It's all conjecture who may or may not leave, especially as we're still getting used to the way Appleton wants to play, looking at the squad as a whole though, it would seem there will have to be outgoings. I think there may be a few in front of Keshi for an exit though.
Dale
Lubala
Virtue
Hamilton
I'm not sure any will be permanent outs though, probably loans and if there are other additions, I could see Lavery and Tharme getting short term loans and of course Bowler may leave.
The waters are slightly muddied by the number of injuries we have at the moment, when everyone's fit we have the look of a half decent outfit.

Welcome to the seaside Charlie, good luck for the season 👍

Welcome to the seaside Charlie. Hope you do well. As yet completely unproven at this level. Time will tell.

Nice to see him mention the supporters in the club statement - smart kid.
He also mentioned that he'd talked to Dan Ballard who was very complimentary.
If we're that good Dan why didn't you fancy coming back?

Just watched that 12 minute vid on pag2 and realised I was spending the whole of it either smiling or chuckling. What a talent.

It's already fascinating me to try and work out how the club intend to play it. Do we consider him fully ready and fit to start regularly? Arsenal I'm sure want him playing as often as possible, they probably did with TJ as well. Charlie appears a different level. Is MA considering a more stable line up than Critch did, so he could be partnering Fiorini week in week out, that's some prospect.

Really letting the imagination run wild a second, Arsenal obviously think he's going to the top in the next couple of years at most. How great to be able to watch a normal World Cup in 2026 and say a good England player was with us for a year.

Can you see anyone else being willing to take him on?

He's in the last year of his contracts, who knows, maybe he'll have a miracle run of fitness and actually play some games for us.
No we will not be able to loan him out but I would think it a, waste of a squad place if he were to be given 1.
He will just sit on his contract and build up his portfolio
