Charlie Patino signs

I think thats cos we signed people instead? Like Bowler and Connolly?

He managed to bring in Sterling Simms and Ballard though.

Pointless dig i think.
That’s why I said last season.

It was a dig but the point stands.

We loaned Charlie Kirk from Charlton ffs.

Amazing how we’ve got better loans this season than last when we had the former Youth Coach who was apparently highly respected in the game and had one of those super shiny elite coach badges…
I asked a prem technical director about
Appleton when he signed,
He said you have a young talented player you send him to Appleton on loan.

Yep his loan credentials seem to have been vastly underrated by fans.

But another feather in the clubs cap with this choice given what it can bring.

Plus he plays good football and is a likeable guy.

You told me it was bollux. Please tell me why.
Because you have no proof ghthat at Critchley wasnt as respected as people think. Its just conjecture. Aka bollocks. The likelihood is that he's highly respected. Its just sour grapes lingering. Like it always does here when anyone good gets a job elsewhere.

What do you want me to do? Give you sealed files with fingerprint proof and a glass slightly smelling of aniseed?

A sort of proof lies when you clear your own fog.

And no sour grapes from me. I never wanted him and was happyish to see him go.

No we won't. 😆
It was only a bit of daydreaming Voy, it will 2 out of those 3 plus Dougall or Connolly (or Stewart) in behind and of course Fiorini can play in a front 3. It's quite exciting. There have too be a few going out though, I wonder who as we are still likely to sign 2 or 3 more before the end of August.

139/1 on going up as Champions, stranger things have happened.
But only about once in a 139 seasons!
To be fair a club like ours gets promoted 1 in every 15 seasons maybe but we need somebody like a dj Campbell or this season will be a struggle.

You're not making much sense. Critch is respected and did a good job here. You seem to want to think otherwise. I dont get it. Seems odd, a bit snide.

Weve 28 squad counters now i think. Possible leavers/loans...

Tharme
Bowler
Lubala
Dale
Hamilton
Garbutt

so exciting - also - he is 19 in October so we seem to be a bit overly worried re his age - if he is as good as he looks to be, then 19 isn't that young

This Clarke fella from Arsenal isn't happy with the move because of the physicality of the championship and possession-heavy football. Also we are favourites for relegation. (Same old predictions).
I’ll tell you what though, he’s gonna win Pool a lot of free kicks, he’ll be too fast and tricky for most of the Championship opposition and they’ll just leg him up!

Can we officially calm the fuck down now?
The club has signed 3 cracking loan deals, got Grimmy extended and signed Thompson who looks a great prospect too

Life’s not too bad as a Seasider these days. Stadium will be finalised, training ground built and of course we are already above the Nobbers in the league which is only natural law.
Absolfuckinglutely!
My thoughts exactly Chunky 👏

Very young and not the most robust looking but Arsenal wouldn't send him to us on loan If they didn't think he was ready.

I think history shows in football that if you are good enough, you are big enough.

I think of all the footballing greats only Christiano Ronaldo is of any height.

Just had a quick look and he's ranked 20th on FourFourTwo's 2022 list of 50 most exciting teenagers in world football. A list which is headed by the likes of Bellingham, Pedri and Ansu Fati.

Seems like the real deal and a great signing, I just hope he copes well with the physicality of the league.

I can’t see Tharme going on loan -MoM on a couple of matches according to Matt Scrafton. Dale, Hamilton, Garbutt and Keshi yes.
Keshi was man of the match in Championship games last season, not against L2 teams in friendlies. And he's out injured for 2 months or more so no chance of a move anyway.

Great signing I hope he can handle the rough and tumble of the champo some right horrible teams who will go for him he looks a bit fragile
Played well against the mackems that will do for me

Is Stewart really worthy of a squad place?
Similar comments last year until he gets a run of games and you realise that he's well worth it...

If we Stewart could manage an injury free season or even more than half a season I could see us being in serious contention..... The bloke is quality and with a couple of skillful young whipper snappers alongside we'd be a force in Midfield.

Think a couple of Blackpool players will be looking after him. Still seems a great cameraderie in the dressing room

We have made some great loan/permanent signings this window but this one is the WOW one we have all been waiting for. Watching his clips and reading the comments from so many pundits all saying the same thing, tells you how good this young player is. His ability on the ball is sensational, not just going past players but going past players with ease. He can finish and has a full arsenal of passing ability. Also, definitely prepared to put his foot in as well so no worries there about his physical presence. I think he is going to be the cherry on the cake of a fantastic number of new recruits brought in over the close season. A signing to reinvigorate the support base to regenerate the amazing atmosphere created last season.
In general I think it's important to remember, we are taking loans of highly talented young players from some of the biggest clubs with the strongest squads in the world. Exciting times ahead...
