Anchor & Hope pub is a walk from the ground on the river - Charlton and away fans drink there on a matchday - not a bad pint and serves food

If it's nice weather the best place to go will be Vinegar Yard (right opposite London Bridge main station). If it's not good weather i'd suggest the Woolpack on Bermondsey Street.

There used to be a good pub fairly close to the station in Blackheath, only one or two stops from Charlton.

Can't remember what is was called and don't know if it's still there.

Setting off at approx 5.45. to catch a bus to Bradford, train from Bradford then a river trip before the game should be home by 23.30ish. I just hope my ribs stand up to it.

You were lucky. Me and a mate went but every pub on the high street we walked down knocked us back. Ended up going in the Liberal Club near the ground. It was packed with 'pool fans.

I went there after the game in 2019. Good pub with a terrace overlooking the river.

Thanks for confirming. Our last two visits to the Valley were definitely POTG and I don't think there was a price uplift but not sure.

We are extremely inconsistent but extra awful away from home. I'd probably say a routine Charlton win at this stage.
