Chelsea vs Blackpool Unofficial Matchnight thread.

Last 3 free kick for chelsea have been really soft by the ref,but what a great effort by all of the blackpool team wether we equalize or not really proud of them all, utmp

The difference showed in the end but all credit to the Blackpool lads.
Great effort and bodes well for the future of BFC

Really excellent performance both tonight and overall in the competition. They can definitely be proud of themselves after that.

It made me laugh that the comms felt that near the end, our lad went down easily to win a free kick, like theirs hadn't been high pitched screaming whenever we went near them. But I suppose at a Premier League academy, they've got to prepare and teach them the histrionics, otherwise how else will they make it.

They look very confident and retain the ball very well for their age. They are a credit to the club and played very well against a top academy.

I'm sure some people question my sanity watching the Youth team particularly stood on a muddy field at an agricultural college on the outskirts of Nobberland. Perhaps after watching that it's easier to understand why I enjoy it. Next up on 5 Mar is a semi-final in the Alliance Cup away to Bolton. That will be at their training ground. #5for25

So a youth team player is now giving the big "shhhhh" to a handful of Blackpool parents and family. Teaching them young to provoke people eh.
And he looks like a girly to add further insult to injury with his lovely permy hair and hairband. Not making any particular point but it woundeth me up

I enjoyed the great football played by the youngsters there, and found myself wishing "if only our first team would put that energy and enthusiasm into the game".

It's not unreasonable to think that some of those guys could one day attain the first team.

A few years ago when my lad was playing junior football, his side got invited to play against Chelsea girls (it was Chelsea’s way of trying to get the girls competitive football). One visit to the training ground and you realise the chasm between us as clubs and the money invested in the respective academies. To give them a proper game is a great guide to the work being done by Ciaran, Murphs and all the rest. Patience and effort will be rewarded.

Great. You’re invited to the London Symposium on the LA novels of James Ellroy. Details to follow.
If that’s serious I’d be all over it. Absolutely love his work. Easily my favourite author. I always tell anyone new to him, give it 100 pages; once you get used to the prose you’ll be involved in the greatest, ugliest, lurid storytelling of all time.

It’s totally serious. Will DM you and Hertford and set it up. I know you and I met in the White Swan - and possibly herts too, though I lose track of those multiple ‘herts’ username’s!

Chelsea really are a bunch of twats. From their horrible fans, to the owner, to the players and back again. Let's hope they get their assets frozen and we get to keep Sterling who is clearly a Seaside through and through.

Elroy's books are ace. Same goes for Elmore Leonard.
