I wouldn't say fairly quickly, they went as far as accepting a bid from him.

'The American first expressed an interest in buying the Rams last year, but that came to an end in December and he then spent two months working on a deal to purchase PNE from the Hemmings family. The Slync.io. co-founder had a bid accepted for North End in February but then lowered that twice, before returning to the table at Pride Park.'
