City vs Lpl

City have been the best team by a mile since the break building for the Champions league finals.
As Klopp put it the other week how on earth are we 20 points clear of this City side!

I don't want to jinx this game and Liverpool do a 3 - 4......but.....Win the League for the 1st time in 30 years and get battered by the club below you.

OUCH.......🤗

City are playing like they've a marker to put down for next season while Liverpool are on the beach.

Liverpool have been the best team this season and deserve to be champions. Are they better than City? I've a feeling City will be back on top next year.

Liverpool have had their chances, however City have been more clinical.
Soft penalty for first. Sterling scored an opportunist goal and Foden's was a cracker.

Not sure about that Tangojoe they need a replacement for Aguero still can be got at the back desperate for a left back and have Silva off.
Possibility of no Champions league will affect their buying power as they can't stick two fingers up FFP again.

If City buy well, pre season, it's scary. Saying that, Utd look good too since the break. Not one of them have got Kai Kai though so they are toast.

Didn't see many street parties in Liverpool last night .. have they run out of Pale Ale 🍺

Mane, Robertson and Salah were on the beach last night. Liverpool had already won the league and didn't look bothered.
I couldn't see a team managed by Alex Furguson resting up or taking their foot off the gas like liverpool did last night.
Citeh now know they don't just have to turn up to win the league and have got competition next season.
Can liverpool be as strong next season?
Will Citeh be as lack luster?
Hopefully it won't be a one horse race and at least three teams will be challenging although I can't see who that 3rd team will be.
As for Silva, I think Foden is a great replacement, maybe a little early but the lad is only going to get better. More importantly they need a replacement for Aguero as Jesus is shite!!

Definitely a case of after the Lord Mayors show.

I think as champions they prob viewed it as a training/warm up match for the fringe players....🤣😎

The full strength team from the Reds shows that Klopp was desperate to win that game. If city win three trophies they'll come away from this season claiming to be top dogs.

City fans must be wondering why they couldn't do it when it actually counted this season. But if last nights match had counted, it might have been a much closer result. And let's not forget City had a huge advantage last night as they're used to playing in front of rows of empty seats. 😆

That's exactly what they did do, take their foot off the gas, according to Roy Keane last night. And it's perfectly understandable once you've won it. The players may think they're up for it, but just a tiny amount below your best and the intensity drops a fraction, you'll get punished at the highest level. Particularly by a team as good as City.

Liverpool owners penny pinching will come back to haunt them. You can't be complacent and maintain success. If they are happy being like spurs and flashing in the pan it's a good strategy but city the past few years and Fergie way back maintain success by continually strengthening the side. Their fans seem to think everyone will sit back and let them roll the league next season.
