It is CJ, he's a massive part of a problem for us.But it’s not CJ is it? Yet again we had 11 players on the pitch who were underperforming, lacking any confidence and having no idea what to do with the ball, how many times has this happened this season away from home? Like most on here, I’ve seen some terrible performances from us over too many years to mention but the majority of that was down to having shit players, but this squad is more than good enough and capable of beating the teams we have lost to away from home and l'm not being disrespectful. WTF is going on on the training ground with the players, Critch and the coaching staff its basic fcukin stuff they can’t get right!
You missed cant/won't head.....It is CJ, he's a massive part of a problem for us.
Lack of control.
Lack of commitment.
Lack of movement.
Lack of effort.
Can't cross.
Can't shoot.
Can't tackle.
In your next game, watch him for 5 minutes. You wonder why we can't attack? He doesn't ** move a CM. Cheltenham he should have been hooked after 20 minutes. I actually don't know whether it's a lack of effort or footballing intelligence.
Agree. The thing is with CJ is that for all his terrible play, now and again he does something incredible. And for that, rightly or wrongly, he keeps his place.think the o/p is a bit cruel even if entirely accurate. But some on here rate him as it is their right to do so. But like any msb when any player does well then they lavish praise and when they do bad its the critics turn to pull them down.
But it is up to a point as he is out of form and completely out of courage. But it’s not CJ is it?
Kurt, to be clear I’m no fan of CJ and l cringe every time he’s starting because of the reasons you mention but the point I’m making is the other players have to take their share of the problem as they are all under performing away from home.It is CJ, he's a massive part of a problem for us.

If we are on top he’s an asset but when we are not he struggles. The whole team apart from Marv & Grimshaw were poor last night.Kurt, to be clear I’m no fan of CJ and l cringe every time he’s starting because of the reasons you mention but the point I’m making is the other players have to take their share of the problem as they are all under performing away from home.
but only after saturday Critchley was talking about the players in a positive manner about it being a special group. He can't have it both ways. But it is up to a point as he is out of form and completely out of courage.
Just watched Crotchless's post-match presser and he complains about the player's desire and yet he continually picks a player who has no attributes other than he can run.
They would have to find him first.Good job we gave him a 3+1 new deal imagine the queues forming for him if we hadn’t.
I said exactly that on our Whatsapp group last night when I saw the team.Forgot to add of late it feels starting CJ in his form is like playing with 10 men then you pick Connolly it's like playing with 9 men
There is a middle road. He can be effective in the right scenario as a substitute. But I can't think of many situations where he should be starting.think the o/p is a bit cruel even if entirely accurate. But some on here rate him as it is their right to do so. But like any msb when any player does well then they lavish praise and when they do bad its the critics turn to pull them down.
The CJ and Connelly It's only born out of them massively underachieving and under performing for the vast majority of the season. Wouldn't you agree?I said exactly that on our Whatsapp group last night when I saw the team.
The point is he is consistently bad atm and the others are bad occasionally (except Connolly) and that's the problem because if your face fits with Crotchless then you don't have to up your game to get in the team.but he was no worse than anyone else last night.
You missed off - he can't head a ball!It is CJ, he's a massive part of a problem for us.

He was given the ball in space at least 3 times in the first half. Either couldn't beat his man or a cross doesn't beat the first defender. Had a great opportunity to put his laces through the ball & shoot but instead another limp wristed cross. I make allowances when he's played on the right but last night he was supposedly on his stronger foot.I'm not immune to CJ's weaknesses, but he was no worse than anyone else last night. And once again, it's not hard to see that we do very little to consistently get the guy on the ball in positions where he can genuinely make a difference. He's always playing in his own half rather than pushing into the final third. Will he be a world beater if we did that more? No. But he'd be a lot more effective than he is as a wing back.
No, CJ is not under performing. He is just not very good just and that's why it's the exception to the rule when he plays better. The CJ and Connelly It's only born out of them massively underachieving and under performing for the vast majority of the season. Wouldn't you agree?
O no save us all from the pain and frustrationCheers up lads only 2.5 more years of watching him try to control a ball by letting it hit his shins and bounce 5 yards away
I acknowledged it wouldn't make him a world beater. I'm just saying he'd generally be more effective further forward and with space to run into. How much more effective he is can be debated, but if you're going to play the guy - and it seems like we are - then surely it's better to play to his strengths? Same applies to so many other players too.He was given the ball in space at least 3 times in the first half. Either couldn't beat his man or a cross doesn't beat the first defender. Had a great opportunity to put his laces through the ball & shoot but instead another limp wristed cross. why not play 4-4-2 ,once the players know how to play this system, then let critch play his silly formations that non of the players got a clue,oh only position he gets right is the goalkeeper. Why not start with Gabriel as Rwb & Lyons as Lwb??? It's not like Lyons needed the rest...Slept on it and I'm still annoyed..Shocking performance
The problem is, though, Hamilton 'does well' (to use your words) in about 5% of the games he is - somehow - selected for. For the remaining 95%, he is absolutely shocking. But, incredibly, in Critch's eyes, that seems to be reason enough to grant him his place in the 1st team squad!think the o/p is a bit cruel even if entirely accurate. But some on here rate him as it is their right to do so. But like any msb when any player does well then they lavish praise and when they do bad its the critics turn to pull them down.
Which begs the rather obvious question: shouldn't he be looking to sign up to a more fitting sport - badminton? One thing he can do is
Them long shuttlecock throwins. Not seen them for some time
Make it 3 things with his ability to cross into his own box and the magic trick he does in tackling himself. One thing he can do is
