CL Final Trouble

Oh dear, you still seem to be stuck in your utter hatred of Liverpool fans, its rather sad tbh, you’re better than that, as some of your posts although prickly make for good discussion, but I can’t be arsed to reply most of the time as I’m not that au fait with twattering on a keyboard and would prefer to see the whites of a posters eyes to discuss differing opinions. It would be nice to see you for a pint in The Armfield next season. 👍

Who in their right mind would travel overseas for a match without a ticket knowing full well there were loads of forgeries about and even worse converge on the stadium with no ticket

By the look of things far too many pal, absolutely clueless and asking for trouble.

Nope i find is utterly disgusting how the media and the Liverpool love in is trying to twist things

Forged tickets, people trying to blag in and an utter anti establishment attitude from Liverpool fans

Fcuk um

Scouse pricks

How do you know they all had no or forged tickets? The French authorities have come out and said that mistakes were made.

People were stopped and turned away at the turnstile for ‘forged‘ tickets that were actually tickets from the club from a player. So definitely not forged.

Scenes on tv last night showed the turnstyles not working at some point and fans being asked to crawl under them to get in. It also showed a young lad waiting his turn and just being sprayed right in the eyes with pepper spray for no reason at all. Poor lad barely reacted he was that stunned. Awful.

The narrow queuing pathway, the over zealous policing, the blaming fans for being late when they clearly were not, the blaming fans for having forged tickets who clearly did not. I don’t think we should be judging the fans at all at this point, there seems a lot more this than we know at the moment.

In follow up to my post on Sunday, and in a meeting this morning with 5 of the lads who went.

The 4 with real tickets said it was an awful night...Police were heavy handed, punching and hitting (both sets of) fans and treating everyone like sheep being herded into a truck
The locals, were like a pack of rats.....pickpocketing, trying to jump ques and causing an unsettling atmosphere of trouble.

One lad said the word 'Hillsborough' was being used again and again in the crowd, so nobody tried to push, nobody made an attempt to get to the gates by pushing in, everyone was calm but 1 of the guys said he watched as some 6foot 3"gendarme in riot gear, smashed his baton into a fans face and just screamed at him, then 3 other 'riot' police stormed the barriers with batons towards a group of 'older' fans just standing there.
Nobody had moved for 20 minutes...they were penned in....but the police still kept pushing them with threats of being hit....

All were in the que for 3 hours plus and none of them were drunk or causing trouble...these were 30 year olds and a few with kids.

One of the lads who went with a forged ticket (others were off today) didn't get in....but there was no way him and his mates could get out, so he and 1 other had to go through the 3 hour wait and got out just before they reached the turnstiles...He knew (in his words) "the shit was going down"...and they just got out of there.....said he would never go back, horrible place, horrible people living there.....one of his co-workers said..."you were an idiot to even go".....and he agreed......

I asked if he saw any of the others and he said 2 didn't even get there as their plane from Manchester was cancelled/delayed and they just couldn't get to Paris.

Bad day all around...not too many happy smiling faces in todays morning meeting....apart from 1 Everton fan.
