Darragh MacAnthony said in his latest podcast that a couple of league one clubs had shown interest in Harris and seemed to think that he wouldn’t still be at Peterborough come the end of the window.

Surely we should go all out and just get him? Use the Jerry money and bring in a proven striker at this level

Sadler would need unlikely transformation.

Championship on the cheap: drop & -£7m.

League One: minimalist spend and prayer.

Now he shows ambition by signing Clarke-Harris - or reconciles to third tier dross.

Have any of you actually seen him play? Immobile and massively overrated. Avoid at all costs
Yep, i saw him play when they trounced us 5-0 last game of the season. He's a target man, he's a goalscorer and yes whilst he has limitations in how high a level he could go, I do recall his mobility when he was put through on goal and ran with a fair amount of pace and rounded our keeper to score. He's a cut well above anything we have as a target man at the moment. Chances of us being able to afford him are pretty much zero. His goalscoring record for P'boro and prior to that Bristol Rovers is outstanding.

Clarke Harris is on £6100 per week - which is near our higher end. He will want to double that. Cosgrove is on £18,000 per week; that's why Birmingham desperate to off load

Oh here comes our resident 🤡🤡🤡🤡🤡…when’s school back🤔

Averages over a goal every 2 games in last 3 seasons, surely a guaranteed 20 goals could get us promotion!
What other big strikers are available who could score 20+ goals??
🤔

Will cost upwards of £1.5m and, due to his age, will decrease in value over the length of his contract.

We desperately need a big fucker up top, but JCH won’t be the answer.
I agree with your first paragraph but have you seen JCH scoring record? If there was a choice between a big fucker or JCH I’m sure you’ll choose the latter.

He sounds like a perfect player for our needs and if we did just sign him and a couple of loans we’d be potential title contenders. But I doubt we’d be able to outbid other better supported clubs. I’d be amazed if we signed him. I think the money is in the kitty but maybe it’s earmarked for something else. Who knows?

Sounds from this interview with Joey Bi arton that Bristol Rovers are in for him, if they are why the hell can’t we be? Spend some bloody money Sadler FFS!

You NOW want Sadler to splash out?

Fans refused to listen when I urged them to wait until he PROVED his ambition.

Instead, amid season ticket sales, busted flush Critchley and mediocre signings.

How many relegations before people twig?

Sorry I don’t follow?

I’ve never said I didn’t want Sadler to be ambitious..
No.

You demand some bloody money spent.

My point?

Fans threw away their leverage by purchasing too early season tickets.

Sadler now lacks any pressure to show the ambition whose lack cost the drop.

People just want to watch football, ideally entertaining and winning, if not that then at least one or the other, they don't want to enter into an organised battle with the owner.
There is also the possibility that if fans didn't buy season tickets then Sadler would be inclined to invest less not more so your idea was not guaranteed to pay off.

Fans who do not challenge the club's ambition condemn themselves to collapse.

Sadler has ruptured the exchange with season ticket purchasers because he:
●appointed coaches unlikely to succeed after consecutive flops - Grayson, Appleton, McCarthy and Critchley 2.0.
●delivered negative football, despite promising attacking entertainment.
●banked multimillion pounds in Villa's compensation for Critchley and the Bowler and Yates sales, but spent little amid Championship status loss and League One mediocrity.

If the owner had ignored supporters' boycott threat, the club would deserve to forfeit their backing.

Why, as a purported journalist, do you have so much difficulty writing cohesive English?
"...ruptured the exchange with season ticket purchasers" or "...If the owner had ignored supporters' boycott threat, the club would deserve to forfeit their backing" - what the hell does that mean?

Many people hail my Twitter comments.

You cannot fathom the views I espouse?

The answer lies with a look in your mirror.

No point signing strikers when we cant create chances for them.

We could sign Haaland and Lewandowski and they would look shite in Critch’s system

It’s pointless

Of course I'd love us to sign him but he doesn't fit what we're trying to do so it would never happen. I wonder why he isn't attracting interest from the Championship, too high a fee at his age perhaps?

I'm comfortable with buying young, developing and selling on for a profit. Hopefully we can identify that sort of player and still add some experience without paying large fees.
