Cods done us a favour?

One thing that everyone talks about with Critch are his coaching skills - probably an 8/10 whereas 'on the day manager' he's around a 6/10. Interesting just listening back to his post match from Northants that he talked about being able to coach the players during that last free week off and I just wonder at this stage of the season if having a long break before the Derby game might not be a bad thing? This season has been pretty relentless and to get Hubby/Norburn/Morgan (and anyone else with a knock or injury) back will be a good thing.

Having 3 home games on the bounce against lower table opposition could be massive as well.

Norburn and dembele fine for tomorrow and Morgan back after international break. After Saturday they have a nice 13 day break.

Middx, I think the difference has been Byers myself. After a quiet intro he's become a major influence but always played alongside Norburn.

What we don't yet know is if Morgan/Byers (which would be my preferred midfield pairing) can work with Dembele. And Kaddy, by the incredible standards he's set has been a fraction quieter last 2-3 games. That's as much to do with him getting kicked to death as anything else, but he has overhit a handful of passes in very good situations.

Byers/Norburn is the closest thing we have to Dougall/Stewart so perhaps no coincidence we've been relatively successful recently and Critch will see the similarities I'd have thought?

My main concern would be the amount of time Connolly will have to pressurise CJ into remembering where that safe place is where he put the photos 🤣🤛🤗

Ironically I think we could've done with that game to stay in touch before Derby!
I agree - only Stevenage playing next week. Get 3 points against the Cods (I know not a forgone conclusion) and at least we would have been 6th or 7th again going in to the Derby game. For me, we'll have a huge hangover heading to the Midlands.

Personally am gutted on two levels .. would love a game this weekend and hopefully a good win to push us back up and get everyone back on side and also because I can't make the rearranged game 😡

I can't make the Tuesday night one either. Can't help feeling Critch has dodged a bullet though tomorrow.

Pool cannot play Dembele and Morgan together in midfield. A long string of away defeats confirms it. Critch has given Dembele the nod because he is a loose cannon. Nobody on either side has a clue what he’ll do next, and it can be a game breaker.
The two or three games where we have been really dominant we had Kenny holding, with Carey and Kady. They were rampant. Morgan is I think a bit better defensively than Carey, but both of them are better in every single way than Norburn.

Carey isn’t better than Norburn in my opinion.
I really wanted Carey to be a top player for us but he just hasn’t been.
The anti Norburn agenda is a bit baffling.

Getting a bit daft when league 3 games are getting rearranged for international friendlies

I think we’ve been on a long run of games, we have 7 games which we could do with winning them all, we’ve a few injuries and knocks and actually I don’t think a little reboot will do us any harm.
