Source please?

And please don’t say Fox News, Russia Today or Trump’s Twitter feed.

Bit odd as well, bearing in mind voting is still underway.

What’s that I can see on the horizon? Oh it’s red. And it may not be real. In fact it may well be a mirage.
Don't take him seriously Mex. It'll only get him excited.

Exit polls not looking good for Trump's chances. Compared to 2016;
Voting numbers up amongst college students
Voting numbers up amongst non white voters.
Voting numbers down amongst non college educated white voters
Voting numbers up amongst over 60s

All favour Biden, apart from the last group but covid fears have caused many older voters to back Biden.

Any chance of a link?

Millions told by an automated call to stay at home and stay safe. Unknown source.

Apparently loads of them in Michigan which is a close swing state.

Trump favourite now. Polls suggesting Biden’s lead in swing states has vanished. Could be another close one. Can Trump do it again? 😲

Interesting watching this, I’m in Wisconsin at the moment and this is going to be close.

The blue states are being called immediately and Florida wasn’t called until it was 98% counted.
Arizona was called by fox with a million votes to count....

the bookies have had Trump favourite for the last 4 hours but it’s still close. Big shift from Biden at 2/9 at the start.

Anyone who said this was a shoe in for Biden was in la la land. Looking at the current state of play, Arizona is a Biggie. If Biden wins that and Michigan and Wisconsin plus the 1 electoral college vote from Nebraska( splits it's votes) district 2, that could be it by the smallest of margins and if that scenario plays out, Biden won't need PA. Whatever either of them say, we're probably not going to know until tomorrow at the earliest.

I said to my son last night before heading to bed, it will be far closer than the polls are saying.

It's happened here when the silent majority speak through the ballot box rather than through social media.

Given the prevailing narrative of you're an idiot at best, a fascist at worst; why on earth would you tell anybody your voting intentions?

IF Trump wins there will be calls for the Electoral College system to be reformed as all votes aren't equal as he will win again after losing the popular vote. I have a lot of sympathy for that view.

Anyway a way to go yet but it does demonstrate that the US is a pretty divided country which is a bit of a shame.

Just watched a clip of Boden on the BBC addressing his supporters at a car rally.

He didn't sound convinced he was going to win to me.

Time will tell.

None of this is making a great deal of sense to me.

The polls seem to be off by an implausible amount:
  • Florida, Biden had a 2.5% lead, it's gone Trump by 3.5%
  • Texas was 1.5% for Trump, it's now 6%
  • Iowa/Ohio were 1.5% and 0.6% for Trump, they're now 7% - 8%
There aren't the same numbers of undecided voters as in 2016 to swing one way or another, the polls are surely more cautious after 2016 but seem to have got it even more wrong.

Something very odd is going on.

Once again the AVFTT political "experts" come up trumps - NOT.

Looks like it could be a great result for the bitter lefties though, what would they moan about for the next 4 years if Trump was ousted ?

Except that it's literally exactly what I predicted.

Looks like opinion polling in these elections is completely meaningless
All polls had put Biden in the lead including in most of the swing states and this was after adjusting their methodology from last time.
He was about 8% in front in the popular vote as well.
Democrats have got some thinking to do - they need a candidate who can cut through like Trump does

It's not over yet, but it's looking like another Trump victory - not a great result for the western world but good for Putin and China

Not sure the polls are that wrong. The Biden majority in swing states were very narrow and within the margin of error.

The postal votes are predominantly democrat (voters in the US can register for either party or as an independent) and those are the ones Trump doesn’t want to be counted.

Why have the Latino's voted for Trump? It makes no sense at all to me!
In Florida, the majority are from Cuba who see Trump as an ally against the Cuban regime. The hatred of Castro still lives on strong.

2020. You seem upset??

Why am I upset ?

By your logic, I should be buzzing now that Biden appears to be in a favourable position.

In truth, I couldn't give a feck when Trump looked the likely victor and I still couldn't give a feck now that Biden is the jolly.

I was certainly wrong about something though, I said that all the bitter lefties would have nothing to moan about if Biden was successful but if he wins they will just turn their attention to Brexit, Boris and the price of Space Raiders.

You've just confirmed what I thought. Smiles.

When the idiots in America were conned by Trump in 2016, I thought he's bound to get a bullet between his eyes!

Well, just shows how wrong I can be. I keep getting the Rolling Stones song"You Can't always get what you want" going through my head. Must have been because it was played so often during Trump rallies!

Anyway, fingers crossed that enough Americans will come to their senses and evict the rapist, tax dodging egoist from the White House.

What a mess the Republican Party have got themselves into. Sleeping with the Devil will always have consequences.
Didn't the Stones sue him for using that song without permission?
