Come on, just one season defining signing ✍️ 🤔

Think MM and the board are content with what we have and I don't blame them, we've brought in 5 additions to the squad (6 if you count Lyons), we've really added a lot of quality already.

It'd be great to get a marquee signing but if it the price isn't right then there's not need to spend just to make a couple of fans happy.
Quality? Goode might be a good short term addition. Bowler and Rodgers will be played but not as wingers. Nelson is a journeyman. Lyon’s seems decent let’s hope he continues to improve.

Midfield, well what can we say. After 2 weeks watching them train he went for Trybull, Patino and Bowler. Enough said. Short in there.

Up top. Madine isn’t fit, ever. Beesley isn’t good enough. Lavery is getting worse and just doesn’t score. All on Yates to play 19 games and score 10+ goals.

We need a focal point in midfield and another striker with experience who isn’t injured constantly. Without those 2 additions we’ll be going down.

I'm certain we were told that the money for those was ringfenced ie didn't impact on buying players.
Something is impacting on buying what we need, at this defining stage of the season.
Or there is no money in the transfer budget, and the income from Critch, Josh & Richard has been used to offset the losses from covid etc.
We've released some players, which has eased the wage bill.

Two weeks watching them train?

Goode, Trybull, and Bowler would be starting on any mid table Championship club and maybe even on some pushing the top 6.

Nelson adds experience and depth and we'll have options once Marvin gets back in a few weeks.

Madine has literally played in 22 out of our 27 league matches this year.

We've only played one match (which was a cup match at that) and you've already decided that what we have isn't good enough? Depending on what formation MM plays consistently, Patino and Trybull should be good enough for a midfield two.

Our business has been good and makes me confident for the rest of the season.

Ringfenced was used I'm sure, unless it was on here...?
Sounds like a Fielding special.

Are we to believe that a guy who must have countless tens and tens of millions to pay for a project costing £40m himself, can only stretch to a couple of freebies and a couple of loans to try and keep the club up? Something smells a bit fishy and has done for a while now.

Meanwhile the total silence from the club continues.

Don't disagree, except the first line.

It’s all about opinions. Goode has only played one game as has Trybull but you reckon both walk into a top 6 team?

Bowler is an out and out winger, MM doesn’t play with wingers?!

Madine is a carthorse probably months from being turned into glue.

I don’t share your optimism.

Didn't say they'd walk in to a top 6 team, just that they could very well play for a team pushing the Playoffs.

MM will fit his best players into an XI and I am confident he will get the most out of them.

We'll see in May if you were right to be so pessimistic.

I think things will change dramatically come the summer. I don’t mean huge amounts of money spent on players and everything tangerine clouds, I mean the penny will finally drop and we will hear from Sadler, the fact he’s said fuck all says it all, things are not right, far from it. I think he’ll announce the sale of the club, say it was an honour and a dream to have done what he did but it wasn’t what he expected, wasn’t prepared for the amount of work involved but had put the club on a solid financial footing and was now handing it over to an owner who could take the club forward, blah, blah, blah

I’m surprised so many supporters think he’s the saviour, he isn’t and he never was, he thought he could do it but, hey, shit happens.

I never agree with BISONS but he’s hit the nail smack bang n the middle on this one.
