Coulson

Be interesting to see if he gets a start tomorrow, where on the pitch he's played and how he does against a less 'lump it' side as I thought he did OK when he came on in the previous game.
 
Coulson looks better technically but Lyon’s loves to get forward is more of a goal threat … feel sorry for him TBH but don’t hate Coulson
 
If he’s in the team to give us balance it would be good if he went on the outside and went forward with the ball whilst also providing an outlet wide left when our centre midfielders have it…

He got slightly better 2nd half with a run and shot that was pretty soft but needs to take responsibility with the ball and go forwards with it and gain ground. Don’t see it being an upgrade on what we had or have.

wasn't missed by the ref because he got booked. But if he did that in rugby it would have been a red and that could have been as he knew he was never getting to the ball.
 
I quite like Coulson so far. I hate to say it, but I don't think Lyons has been very good most of this season. That's probably because he's not had a chance of a run of games but I think he's a bit of a stick to beat Critchley with. I'm not again a bit of Critch beating but Lyons hasn't screamed class this season to me. Could be wrong but there we go.

Given that this point has been ringing out loud and clear from the entire fanbase for weeks & weeks, I'm rapidly coming to the conclusion that Critchley is either: (a) suffering from hearing difficulties ; or, (b) for whatever reason, hates Lyons with a passion.

Husband got booked for a sly kick at their player while he was on the ground. Stupid and deserved.
 
Can’t believe people are saying Coulson played well yesterday. He’s weak as piss and whenever he did get in a half decent position his crosses either went straight out of play or straight into the keeper’s hands. At the end of last season we had Garbutt (promoted from this league with us) and Reece James (promoted from this league with the massive) and now we’ve got this guy. How is this progress?
 
I think he's done fine really. Not set the world on fire but he's been pretty decent. Critchley clearly wants effectively wingers as his wing backs. Gabriel can do it on the right and Coulson is more in that mould on the left and like has been said gives good balance. I don't see much wrong really.
Lyons for me hasn't taken that position this season. He's not better than Gabriel to go on the right and you lose the natural left footer if he's on the left which is a drawback compared to Coulson.
