Critchley Confirmed - Official

The very brief comment about him ‘not handling it in the correct manner’ is quite cringe tbh, like a schoolboy in trouble.

Very interested to see his interview though

Will give you credit, you had this last Friday before the betting odds had shifted.

But you also said that Dobbie would be an assistant though 🤔
I said I would be absolutely amazed if he wasn’t That was my opinion and only that. I knew we were speaking with Critch weeks ago and also back in November. I’m
disappointed Dobbie may not be involved

We'll see. I preferred giving the positivity of Dobbie a chance. Critchley let himself down hugely in the weird and cowardly way in which he left . I think most of us thought he was better than that.
Got a lot of making up to do iny opinion. Back him transfer wise and a decent director of football and let's get on with it
They’ve made the right decision for the right reasons - it’s down to ability, qualifications and how he suits the immediate situation and set of circumstances. Anything else is irrelevant. As for those concerned he’d split the fan base whilst now is the fans opportunity to give the club every chance of success and just support the man 100%

You’re all welcome btw
For what exactly ? You some sort of mystical soothsayer ?Up to yesterday most of the rumours were for the city youth coach . We all knew Critchley was in the frame so you hardly produced an unheard of name from fresh air.
That said I hope he builds on his first stint , recruits well and stays for the foreseeable future like we all thought he was going to do the first time

Here for the entitled fans spitting their dummies out big time over this.

We really have a section of the fan base who are overgrown babies.
What an insulting post. So anyone who disagrees with you is 'entitled'?
All supporters are equally entitled to their opinion, yet you appear to think "have your opinion, but if you disagree with mine, you are wrong, entitled & a baby with no dummy".
That is a bazaar way of debating a subject.

Bitterly disappointed with the last two appointments but feel very positive with Critchley returning . Very good coach , was great for us and had he left with the right words people would feel different . The past can’t be changed but we can all be part of making the future a positive and enjoyable time.
Absolutely no point being negative towards him now, let’s back him and collectively work to a positive return . We’ve just had a chaotic miserable season , with the right financial backing and our immense support we could see a great year ahead! UTMP 🍊
Spot on mate 👍

Has anybody checked on Phil?
No but I’ve heard on good authority he’s dusting off his posts from the start of the 20/21 season when he absolutely lambasted him but I’ve also had it on good authority we got promoted that season and were the best team in the league statically! Oh the irony 🤣🤣

Wonder when the sporting director will be announced. Would imagine that he has been taking part in the interviews behind the scenes.

A simple question: Yet again the same posters refer to what Phil may or may not post. Why all this childish (often insulting) fixation with Phil?
Just asking.
Disagree with one or two Critchley supporters (their opinions are respected & not subject to insulting replies) and your 'entitled', 'spitting your dummy out' or a 'gloom merchant'.
Those comments derive from individuals who cleary weren't on their university debating teams 🤣

Interesting appointment which, in a way, surprises me due the way Critch deserted us and his poor record of just 1 win at QPR
With that said he does have experience at this level and he got us into the Championship.
Sadler is obviously man enough to forget the past and bring in who he thinks is right for the job,BUT, Appleton and McCarthy obviously weren’t good enough
The appointment has certainly split this board but what we need to remember is that the posters on here only represent a small percentage of the fan base so it would be interesting to know what the majority think of the appointment.
The big positive is that the appointment has been made now which allows Critch the full summer to get his feet under the table and set his stall out.
My choice would have been Dobbie because it was blatantly obvious for all to see that he had a positive effect on the players from the word go and his attacking philosophy is good to watch.
Critch is in situ now so no point in crying over spilt milk and let’s get behind him.
I genuinely hope for Sadler’s sake that this time around it works out for him because after all he did step up and take ownership when the club was in a mess.

Underwhelmed. I fear if he brings his QPR form into the club this could be a more damaging appointment than Appleton and McCarthy when it comes to the relationship between Sadler (knows best) and the fans(who he appears to want to prove know nothing)

It will all feel a bit Appletonesque.

Let’s see some Neil Critchleys Tangerine Army shirts on sale and see how many snap them up!

Look we all have opinions and a list of our favourite candidates for the job, me included. Personally I wanted either Dobbie or an up and coming manager e.g. Pete Wild. However, Critch is back and I for one am OK with this. He did well last time and why can't he do well again. Yes he left without a message to the fans, but that's not the end of the world. He's a reasonable appointment and we should all stop the bickering and get behind Critch. It's a fact that Sadler was never going to please everyone, and this is a lot better than the; Appleton, Grayson and McCarthy appointments.

There is a world of difference between someone not being happy with his appointment, and the way some fans have carried on in the past if they haven't got their way about something.

You may as well have put any number you wanted in front of that deal, as he's proven before the length of the contract he's on means fuck all.

I've been very vocal on here about not going back to Critchley, I personally think it has the potential for absolute toxicity at the club. We've just been relegated, if we then get off to a poor start under Critchley on his return it'll turn sour.

I'll never bet against my own club though, I didn't want him back but I hope for both our sakes it goes well. Get us promoted Critch and all us forgiven - I'll even take a fisting at Wembley (or at the title lift) 🍊 👊

Yep. Hiring the man whose departure effectively relegated us will either be a good or bad decision. I remain to be convinced it’s the former. He has alot to prove for me.

Nope I told you all weeks ago this was a strong possibility
Fair play. You called it! Keep the info coming. Who's his first signing going to be? 😜

It's done now so people need to get over it and get behind it.

I'm a little disappointed for Dobbie and for us to go back again to a manager we've had.

However it's not some dinosaur we've dug up and he did brilliantly, he just didn't leave with much dignity.

Any of us would leave to triple our wages for eg and it happens in football.

He will have lost a bit of that trust and energy, but it can be got back with results and performances.

At the end of the day people need to stop acting like jilted lovers and get over the fact he went.

It's not his fault the board failed badly to replace him and had no real plan.

As for his football, it was good and also at times not so good. It got results, he did want a passing style but ditched it after it didn't get going in league 1, it probably also depends on the personnel.

I suppose the big question is whether the players who played for him before will swallow his methods this time around.
