The liver connection, Gerrard.
Your shower of shite said that when Larry walked out and look where we ended up.......somewhere you've not been for 60 years. Nobber prickPssstttt, no one is taking you too half. Your best chance just walked out the door
Wonder how much compo?Upsetting to be honest. Did a superb job and was a genuine nice guy. Hopefully we got decent compensation for him but it’s a minefield getting the right guy in. I’d go for Dyche if we have cash although he’s probably out of our reach or Mowbray who although dour is competent and his teams are always competitive. Or Mark Robins
I think we can expect Bowler to go. The replacement will send a strong message, one way or the other. The worry is this is somehow linked to the news about Sadler's hedge fund over the past few weeks. Could be a case of rats leaving a sinking ship.
Will be interesting to see if there is any more outgoings over the next few days.
Yep me too. Like being dumped by a comfy pair of slippers, I would imagineI suspect there will be plenty of good candidates now the football world know what our owner and board are about.
Someone decent will buy into the project new training ground decent employer etc etc.
I was sad for 10 mins. Now optimistic.
Fear not Lala I’m sure he’ll be along shortly, bless him.
My first thought and going back to the late great Karl Oyston that was one of his catchphrases. No loyalty in football
Me too # guttedWow, no doubt all the behind the scenes stuff will come out of the woodwork eventually. Gutted though as I thought the bloke was here for the long haul.
Absolute bollux. The worry is this is somehow linked to the news about Sadler's hedge fund over the past few weeks. Could be a case of rats leaving a sinking ship.

Critchley will be there as long as Steven Gerrard is, of Stevie G gets potted he'll go with him.Be interesting to see how Neil Critchley does in the longterm at Villa.
I don't think he appeared out of his depth. But I think he may have felt that next season will be a battle with a small budget. And the training ground is probably 3+ years away.Maybe he felt out of his depth. He appeared to be when making some of his choices.
No hard feelings from me. Have a lot of respect for the guy. We had a mediocre season in some ways and maybe we need a change at the helm ourselves.
Wish him well and onwards and upwards for us
I believe they've bought some new cones and an upgraded coffee machine, Stevie G likes it with two sugars.Be interesting to see how Neil Critchley does in the longterm at Villa.
I was thinking exactly the same thing.Gerrard continues to do a decent job at Villa with Critch as his no 2 and then when Klopp goes Gerrard takes Critch to Liverpool. As a long term plan it makes sense.
You're not the sharpest knife are you?The worry is this is somehow linked to the news about Sadler's hedge fund over the past few weeks. Could be a case of rats leaving a sinking ship.

Good postI don't think he appeared out of his depth. But I think he may have felt that next season will be a battle with a small budget. And the training ground is probably 3+ years away.
And he'll have got a huge pay rise and gets to work as a coach at the top level. Too good to turn down. He may actually feel more comfortable as a no. 2 at a Prem club than no. 1 at our level. He's not a front man really is he.
We ought to respect the fact he's done a great job for us. Left us loads stronger than he found us.
It's left us in an unexpected and shit position just as the key transfer window is about to open. I doubt we have anyone lined up. Sounds like a quick move by Villa. Not much warning.
As much I appreciated Critch, and stuck up for him throughout, he had his limitations like everybody else. We were well drilled and motivated and hard to break down, but lacking ideas going forward. You have to look forward and see change as opportunity. And not get bitter. Wish the guy well and say thanks.
We finished bottom half of the table.Of course you were
We should have been top half really this season, faded away.Pssstttt, no one is taking you too half. Your best chance just walked out the door

Good post that. Pretty much sums up my thoughts about him too. I just hope I'm excited by his replacement but I'd like a young manager so it's a no from me for Dyche and Mowbray. Let's take a chance on a young 'un.I don't think he appeared out of his depth. But I think he may have felt that next season will be a battle with a small budget. And the training ground is probably 3+ years away.

I said this would happen that he would leave when a “bigger” club came
I got abused for saying it, well as much as i hate this, i told ye so ffs
