Obvious to me, Critchley liked Squires Gate and the announcement of moving to a new training ground was too big a blow. It's completely different, this is a man who was hand picked and given everything he needed, not someone who was available and had to wash the kits.
Well one thing is certain, your username isn't relevant anymoreIt’s because you aren’t some sleeing giant that you all believe you are
Oh well lads, there’s no need to feel lowe
I suspect there will be little money available. If Sadler's intention is to keep costs low on the playing side (I said, if), then we could be in for a difficult season.Dyche could get quality in though and would be a signal of intent.
But our likely budget may put him off, more likely to be a lower league manager I think. There's more possibilities than that. Maybe he's getting more money for less pressure at Villa.
I d have a look at Tony Mowbray if I was Simon Sadler. Likes working with younger players , experienced and a straightforward guy.
From an outside perspective I think we have to put down a lack of transfer funds as a major reason for him leaving. You can imagine that he's envisioning a struggle next year, or stagnation at best. Isn't the type of thing that's going to send 'wow' signals to Prem teams if he has aspirations of managing there. Can't help but think he's jumping a potentially sinking ship.Lack of funds for squad strengthening must have been a major factor. Let's face it Critchley did wonders last season with a bang average squad.. and with little funds for bringing in the required quality his powers of motivation would have been tested to the limit next season. I actually thought his managerial powers were waning towards the end of the season anyway. Does seem odd that both him and McCall both go at the first opportunity. I think Critchley thought he was going to struggle next season with much the same squad so why not go out on a relative high. Be interesting now to see who gets the job..has Critchley's sidekick gone as well..if not will he get the gig? Or will they go for an out of work manager like Dyche, Ferguson or Rooney ?
Depends on the compensation from Villa, five year contract recently so should be a tidy sum?I suspect there will be little money available. If Sadler's intention is to keep costs low on the playing side (I said, if), then we could be in for a difficult season.
Or he's just a **.From an outside perspective I think we have to put down a lack of transfer funds as a major reason for him leaving. Why would you want the same style? Sideways backwards pissing about.Have to go for Michael Duff at Cheltenham. Same style of football and he's a classy man too. I hope the club pay the compo for him.
The sentiment obviously regarded results, him leaving is a bit of a shock but irrelevant to the sentiment you're referencing.Where are all the “ in Critchley we trust” brigade now.?
Yeah there's always that.Or he's just a **.
You could be right I don't know. Certainly more realistic than Dyche. A lot of good lower league managers about. Since we beat Exeter in the play off final I've always looked out for them and Matt Taylor's done a great job there with a small budget and young players. Or maybe we go down the academy route again. But our likely budget may put him off, more likely to be a lower league manager I think.
If he didn’t like the pressure why did he sign a new contract? Is it even going as a no.2 or some sort of coaching role like he had at Liverpool? …perhaps he doesn’t like the pressure…
Unnecessarily full reply. I think 'fuck off' would have sufficed. The sentiment obviously regarded results, him leaving is a bit of a shock but irrelevant to the sentiment you're referencing.
The sentiment I quoted was always used in reference to the boring football and crap signings. I have never called for him to go, but I can’t honestly say I will lose any sleep over it.The sentiment obviously regarded results, him leaving is a bit of a shock but irrelevant to the sentiment you're referencing.
There is no difference, the Manager has left hand picked or not ,he goes into my memory as a scum bag ,much the same as others who have left our club. If you still love him or want him back sad ol you !!It's completely different, this is a man who was hand picked and given everything he needed, not someone who was available and had to wash the kits.
You've not read the board in the past hour or so have you? There is no difference, the Manager has left hand picked or not ,he goes into my memory as a scum bag ,much the same as others who have left our club. If you still love him or want him back sad ol you !!
NO!Charlie Adam is available.

What I'm saying is, the "in Critch we trust" brigade have no reason to be here. They were trusting in his results, style of play, etc. If the situation was that Critchley got us relegated, playing god awful football after spending millions upon millions in the transfer market, then your comment would apply, but that isn't the situation. The sentiment I quoted was always used in reference to the boring football and crap signings. Like he's a dirty cheating bastard !!!!!!!°°°°Critch, please do one thing as a parting gift to us, say something to Cameron Archer on day 1 of pre season
HahahaUnnecessarily full reply. I think 'fuck off' would have sufficed.
Ha ha ha ...
Blokes a fraud as I've been telling people for the past 2 seasons
Perhaps, seems pretty swift to me. Depends how long Villa were aware their man was off to QPR. I certainly wouldn't mind Dyche, take the results over imagined continental football any day. Though I think he's beyond our reach. The Critchley move will obviously have been going on for a few weeks, thus giving SS time to approach a new manager as a replacement. Gonna stick me neck out and name Dyche as our next manager, consolidation in the Championship being the main objective.
Apart from the millions spent, which as you know we haven’t got, the god awful football and relegation were a real possibility for next season. We were found out the last quarter of the season, that’s why our results were so poor. What I'm saying is, the "in Critch we trust" brigade have no reason to be here. So who would you replace him with and don't be silly just for a reaction.Ha ha ha ...

In Critch we trust - b*ll*cks ! Not really surprising as he's a mate of Stevie's.Maybe he felt out of his depth. He appeared to be when making some of his choices.
No hard feelings from me. Have a lot of respect for the guy. We had a mediocre season in some ways and maybe we need a change at the helm ourselves.
Wish him well and onwards and upwards for us
But very risky if Villa have a mediocre season this year he’ll find him self out on his heels as a fired number two.Gerrard continues to do a decent job at Villa with Critch as his no 2 and then when Klopp goes Gerrard takes Critch to Liverpool. As a long term plan it makes sense.
Debatable, off topic though.Apart from the millions spent, which as you know we haven’t got, the god awful football and relegation were a real possibility for next season. We were found out the last quarter of the season, that’s why our results were so poor.
