Crowd for Saturday

The Council is having a freebie ticket drive for locals. That should fill some of the gaps.
I think as part of the clubs partnership with the council they’ve agreed to 500 free tickets over the course of the season. The council then have a ballot and give tickets out to interested locals. They’re doing the same thing with the Zoo, Sandcastle, PB, Tower etc.

It’s not a freebie ticket drive. That’s what PNE are doing !!!

We’ve donated approx 30-50 tickets per match. They’ve donated thousands every game all season on top of discounted tickets.

Not even that many is it...

"50 pairs of tickets and 50 family tickets (maximum of two adults, two children) for selected Blackpool Football Club home games in the 2022-23 season"

So its a handful per game...

10,000 Blackpool fans is a good base to build from.
Very true, hopefully when the east stand is rebuilt we'll have a bit more capacity for both home and away fans. I've always said we should be aiming for 10,000 season ticket holders in The Championship. Good to see sales going up even though we've lost a key selling point in NC.

Ooohh is there a prize for guessing it right? Maybe a goldfish for the pond? A year’s entry to Brannagan’s Botanical Gardens? Or automatic entry to the Ben Mansford Appreciation Society?

If not, I’m not interested and the club is sh*t, has no ambition, is too small, doesn’t think big enough, not enough quality, too many players, not enough money, no recognised full backs …..wah wah wah. I’m not going and you can’t make me!

Nurse….!

Sorry about that - what was the question again?

Train problems will knock a few hundred home fans off and away for that matter! Holiday season also !

Really poor attendance in all honesty, especially as they count all season ticket holders and it being the first game of the season. Atmosphere was really flat as well today.

Somehow those in charge have managed to kill any feel good around the club this summer

If there was a weekly radio show for the top 20 “feel-good killers” you’d be top of the hit parade every week!

10'800 in the championship against Reading is decent for us, we should easily average 12'000+ with more clubs than not bringing 1-3k.

Saw Millwall, Hull, Wigan all had 15k+ (though Wigan likely had a similar amount of home fans to us, for their first game back and a local derby, still PLW) Hull and Millwall both had that summer optimism bounce but I mean , Hull signed one of Fulhams best players who was on 60k a week, so you'd expect a crowd bump.

Anyone know how many they brought? Was a very poor effort for a first home game - mind you I wouldn’t spend my money on that side either and actually a small away following probably played to our advantage.
