Is anyone else looking at this link every day? It feels slightly morbid, but once you know it's there it's difficult not to visit.

Lancashire overtook Lewisham today, which is interesting. And Blackpool jumped from 10 to 18 ; still very low though.

The deaths due to covid figures are not currently counting deaths outside of hospital. That will change shortly so prepare for a big spike in numbers

Internal, should be in gazette at some point.

Ahh right just wanted to keep an eye on it. Real question is what's the true number who have it.

31 in hospital, depends on hospitalization rates but I read 10%. So that would mean 310 with it. But then again they say a lot more would be asymptomatic so even more than that.

Then if we remember that the people in hospital are technically from at least last weeks figures and so that calculation is probably a few times that for cases today and those that will be hospitalized in the next week or so.

Scary stuff. There will probably be into the thousands round here now....

I stopped checking when they changed how they tested. As they are only testing those in medical care, and now NHS staff, they bear very little relation to how many cases there are. No criticism implied, just reality.

If folk could kindly not reference tonight's University Challenge I'd be grateful 😞

It seems to be a bit of tiredness if you get it very mildly.

There'll be a fair few self isolating with health anxiety which will more or less mimic the symptoms

Doesn't tell you the figures of people who are self isolating but who haven't been tested. In Lincolnshire the number of positive tests is 78 out of a population of 755000. However, the Health authorities have been notified that at least another 1000 people are self isolating and that number is rising

It is quite simple really, "not everyone with the virus has been tested".

I noted today and yesterday aircraft have been arriving at the terminals at Heathrow from Rome, Tehran, Seoul, Madrid and Valencia just to name a few and yet no temperature checks let alone testing is carried out on passengers arriving at the airport.

When the figures started where I live hovered around 3 to 4 for days and then slowly rose and by yesterday was on 84 but in a population of 275,000 it still seems a remarkably low figure and whilst obviously there will be hundreds more unrecorded cases, it does go to show that whenever the government ease restrictions and this thing is still around, there will be plenty more people for it 'to get'!
