Phil thinks very few people are delighted with Critch's return but a majority is ok with it. I've no idea. Let's find out...

I've no idea why the thread title has come out as delighted. I typed How do you feel about Critch's return? in the subject box. Weird. Can't edit it.

I think your choices are limited. Scale of one to 5 I'd have gone 3... Satisfied.


But not as limited as the other poll.
 
He's the best coach available. The majority of players loved playing for him. The fact the backroom staff and Sadler are over the moon is also a very good sign. His record with us was fantastic. He still knows most of the squad. Hopefully the way he left and what happened since means he shows more loyalty going forward

Some of the football under him was a little too structured and not always high octane. Some fans will struggle to accept him, it is going to take a very good start to get the majority into the delighted camp.

I went for the middle option but in truth sit in between that and delighted.

Same here. I can imagine Sadler was heavily influenced by the fact that the club was a very happy united place when NC was here. And will have canvassed opinions about him returning.
 
I reckon I've come to terms with it. It is what it is, he's manager now so let's see what happens.

The forgiveness will fully come when we're storming the league 😎
 
So…66% of the votes are at Appleton acceptance/let’s see how he goes/give the guy a chance levels …or worse, then 🤣

That's the second poll we have had lately that suggests that all the dissatisfied noise - and there is a lot of it - comes from a relatively small number of people. In much the same way that AVFTT represents a pretty small minority of the club's overall support in terms of attitudes and expectations.
 
I voted it's ok/accepted it as it wasn't my initial manager choice and to be delighted I would have been really buzzing at an appointment.

However I'm all on board and on reflection it's a good appointment.

But the options of the poll were limited.

You can have too many options. Happy unhappy and somewhere in the middle feels enough to me.

That definitely happens, however there's a majority of sensible people.

It may be more older people on here but it's still a good sample of the fanbase, albeit more hardcore.

Some of the youngsters on twitter can be even more reactionary, or if you’ve ever checked in on Facebook after a defeat for eg...

Avftt overall is probably the most balanced.

we were told the same about Oyston prior to the asset stripping Zabaxe payment. In fact it may have been the same poster making the same noise against those with the ‘small minority view’ 😂

Na its fine, shows a majority onside.

Some of those who aren't happy are still renewing ST for eg, so it's even less of an issue than the poll shows.

So it doesn't really matter, if all the unhappy people were still renewing, but were just unhappy.

I suppose another poll could capture that but it's not worth it, people will be all polled out soon.

You always have to lower the tone. You should be more aware of a certain audience who has to read it.... 🤔😤

I don't think many were in thrilled or even OK with Crappleton. I accepted it but was less than impressed, even less after the first 10 games.
 
I’ve gone from accepting it to being pleased. I believe @td53 once wrote ‘Whats the big deal about a football manager anyway? Isn’t he just some c£&t on the touch line?’
