Delta plus

No, it'll be with us for life, but immunity should stop it being a major problem.

What the media need to do is stop over sensationalising every single variant like this this is the first time a virus has behaved this way. Flu does it every single year, that kills some people as well.

Just seen that people on ventilators in the U.K. are up 41% last week. Don’t know how many that is, but apparently it’s worrying the NHS.

Stated in one of the papers yesterday that flu and pneumonia has killed more people than covid actually has this year but being recorded as covid blah blah

Aye it kills 10s of thousands each year too and we don’t shut down society. It’s not even near the top of the causes of death. We need some perspective but media studies graduates won’t have any easy headlines then.

It definitely won't be anywhere near the top of the causes of death for a long time, neither will Covid, backlogs for operations and late diagnosis are going to kill more in this country than Covid and Flu put together.

The BBC reporting this last week was the lowest number of Covid related deaths (97) in the UK since August last year. 😮
