Derby County v Blackpool Official Matchday Thread 29.03.24

I am sure that this is on another thread somewhere, but does anyone know if you can pay on the gate or get a ticket down there because I will be last minute if I can go

No pay on the gate unfortunately
BFC ticket office also closed on Friday
So today is the only day you can buy a ticket unless you buy online

Derby are are close to selling out so they don't won't any home lads and lasses sneaking in with us.

I see Mendes-Lang and Collins have made miraculous recoveries and are available for Derby after both having “no chance” of playing on Saturday. Of course they have 🥴

People have family stuff, holidays over Easter. Unfortunately I'm 1 of them as would love to have gone.
Yet Derby have sold out!
Poor excuses for many although I do understand family commitments.
On the contrary many who work away etc have an opportunity to see a game during a holiday Weekend.

I badly wanted to go tomorrow but unfortunately I have a business to run and being Easter weekend there’s no way I can get out of not being in work 😩😩😩😩

Grimshaw
Gabriel-Casey-Marv-Coulson
Morgan-Byers-Norburn
Dembele-Lavery-Joseph

Just stop ** about Critchley. If he doesn't go with a solid midfield three, Critchley really can suck my toe.

Back in cornwall helping some mates out setting up a pub, been hectic af no idea what’s going on in the world is it 15:00 ok today?

That’s the team I’d go for especially Lavery and Joseph up top, tell them to run at them and not give them a seconds peace. But no it’ll be that ineffectual pudding Beesley up front, who do you think units like Nelson would rather be up against pace or the lightweight Beesley. To be honest I might have gone today if I thought he’d go for it and we’d take the game to them and play at pace but it’ll be played at snails pace as usual with one flick on per half from Beesley to no one.

On the whole, we tend to play well against good teams (home or away). Subsequently, I'd expect us to do well today.
I have a theory that with the better quality of teams in the Championship, we might be able to hold our own there.

On the flip side, I'd also expect us to lose against Carlisle and Reading.

Dembele & Carey I’m hoping have to told to get in & around Beesley for flick ons / second ball….. not stuck out wide 20 yards from Beesley watching the game go by

Looks like he is going there to not concede and see if we can sneak something. It all goes tits up when they score after 15 minutes though and he doesn't change it. It's very very predictable and even more defensive than normal. But we will wait and see.

Looks like a back nine to me 😂
I think he’ll be radical, the instructions will be to hold onto the ball by passing it around the back, if possible pass it to someone in midfield (unlikely), then pass it back to Grimshaw who will hoof it up to Beesley, who might win the header, but have no one to head it to, the aim is not to lose, revolutionary.

Lots of hoofs up to Bees to head on? Very attacking bench and a really defensive starting XI. If we win Critchley will be a hero, lose and he is providing a massive great c**t hammer to be whacked with.
