Dickhead wrexham players

2 wrexham players slagging off the royal family whilst in usa .Mclean and Mullins , pair of dickheads .

My mate is a Stockport fan and tells me they have had a really bad rep the last few seasons Wrexham fans.
Seems below the family club image, they are trying to ban or lose quite a few of their let's say 'more interesting' fans.
Problem with that is they're the heritage fans who were with the club a long time before a couple of wank Yank actors.

That McLean never learns does he,you would think for the sake of his family he would shut his mouth.

Bar the Queen I haven’t much time for the rest of them tbh.McLean’s just an attention seeking individual who’s done it all his career.can’t stand the guy, gives it but can’t take it.

If he is still with them next season when Wrexham visit BR I think a large club fine is extremely likely.
If that includes a chant of “f*** the pope then perhaps those who want to indulge themselves by singing it can start saving up now.

This isn’t Scotland or Northern Ireland and Simon has enough issues without having to stump up a fine.

That won’t happen while they choose to employ people like McLean. They knew exactly what they were getting with him so you have to think the club are complicit in the anti English rhetoric.

IT will be interesting to see who their first fixture is againt. Promoted teams will get a home fixture.. the whole episode is just disgraceful. what are the odds Wrexham v Blackpool. Would love to go there and muller them .

Don’t really see much wrong with being against monarchs tbh. Similarly can understand how a lad with McCleand background wouldn’t exactly be in favour of the UK armed forces!
None of it makes them anti-English. How they choose to communicate their values could of course be a little classier !

Looks like they should both stay away from social media, but we do have the right to free speech in the UK.
Here is what Mullin has said previously about the royal family;

“I don't see why anyone should have the God-given right to be born into such wealth, and then for us to pay for them as well. It just comes down to basic fairness. How can one family be entitled to so much just through an accident of birth and then spend their whole lives being lauded for it?”

I actually agree with all of that.

so he believes in God then.

I actually disagree with all of that. Boo hoo, life's not fair. Get over it.

Its all a bit mad, i dont fit in anywhere with all this sectarian nonsense, i have no time for the roman catholic church or the royal family, f**k them all for me!
So as much as i think its a load of backward thinking gibberish i wouldn't go out of my way to annoy people by trying to wind up with my opinions, this is where McLean falls down if he wants to be considered as a decent person.
Of course if he isnt arsed about being considered as a good sort then he is a top of the range wind up merchant, definitely gets a significant number of the Blackpool fan base going. Maybe he should appear at the winter gardens as a pantomime villain!

But he has the right to freely express his views?
so if you agree with all that then surely you must agree that the fans have a right to freely express their views as well. Yet it seems a few clubs have suffered fines because of fans expressing their views against McLean.

Yes they are free to express themselves within the law and within EFL rules
I am not the EFL btw and these fines are nothing to do with me

so then you acknowledge it's one rule for him and another rule for fans. So in effect not free speech then! Good, we've cleared that up.

Are you actually insane?
If the Wrexham players have broken either their own contractual rules or EFL rules then I am sure they will be punished.
I'm off anyway - you'll have to find somebody else to waste the day arguing with.

what an offensive remark to call me insane! It was you who first made the remark about it being free speech when the evidence is there to suggest that's not really the case. It was YOU who asked the questions of me,. Not my problem you don't like the answers you get back. Lets's face it, all i've done is agreed with the title of the thread whereas you seem to want to hide behind the argument of free speech rather than have any sort of criticism of the players. So who has actually created the argument. Methinks it's you. Think that says it all really.

Provided we keep any chants at McClean as personal ones which are not race or religious based it’s fair game. He is a whingeing git and will report anything to the ref but if it’s simply calling him a see you next Tuesday there is no basis for a fine.

It will be interesting to see how Wrexham develop. They are obviously looking to be a global brand with the TV thing but Phil has suggested a few times on here that they could be the club of Wales with a big catchment area. Maybe with a tinge of anti English ?

Really…have a good look at what he has said…and done.
He’s a t w a t (I would have preferred to have said more) end of and I would expect a lot better from you.

I’ve tried finding whatever tweets have got everyone so riled up and other than ‚I Hate the ** king‘ I can’t find anything of note and that certainly shouldn’t be getting people upset!

My old man served in NI at the height of the troubles and I’m not exactly uneducated when it comes to international affairs - so I don’t see much issue in McClean having the view he does. I actually think it’s fairly understandable!

We‘re the result of our experiences and his experiences are wildly different to our own.

You could say that about many people though. Does he criticise the
Privileges of the Pope as head of the Vatican City. Their targeting of the royal family is sectarian in nature and nothing to do with a sense of right and wrong.

If you was a couple of multi millionaire types…. Wanting to buy into something like football …why the fuck would you buy Wrexham 🤣🤣🤣…seriously don’t get it at all….

Big club by non-league standards, and big enough to hold their own in League 1 or as a small Championship club. Throw into the mix their history, their identity as the only professional club in North Wales and their “working class” backstory they make a nice story for TV. Their location close to the football hotbed of the North West makes attracting players easy and the whole Welsh identity thing really positions them well to draw on the very American concept of appealing to people’s heritage. They’re the club of the welsh diaspora, any international mining community and working classes without a link to a club.

It’s a marketing masterstroke, Wrexham no longer represents a town of 40/50,000 and a small part of North Wales but now the entire North of a country and millions globally. They can attract sponsors and viewing figures equivalent to big city clubs. Gates will likely never exceed 25,000 but they’re likely be able to compete with most PL clubs commercially if they can reach the Championship.

Cost Reynolds and Macelheney maybe £5 million each - I reckon the ‘brand’ is worth £50 million already purely due to their involvement.

All the welsh hate the English I lived there for a few years and never met anyone who would make us welcome good place for the two twats to live.

he is from the UK, unless Derry has been moved overnight from Northern Ireland to Ireland

The bloke is a tw*t, no getting away from that, always has been, always will be
Technically Northern Ireland is geographically already within Ireland so Derry is already within both?

Ireland is made up of Northern Ireland and Southern Ireland (the Republic).

What's aso bad about criticising the Royal Family? Does free speech not exist when they are involved? Does that mean we can't criticise Prince Andrew? Why are some of you desperate to defend essentially some landed gentry with inherited perks. They don't know who you are, or give two fucks about you.

Don't be such bootlickers. 😂

It was Mcilhennys idea and I was surprised to learn he didn't even know Ryan Reynolds before approaching him to become an investor and partner. Reynolds is quite savvy business wise and the show seems to be as much about his self promotion as it is football.

I will be interested to see how long it lasts before it becomes a drain on his money and the Netflix/Hulu glitz wears off.
