This isn't a knee jerk ranty post, but without his goals we'd be goosed and his head would be on tbe block

We don't create many chances and when we do there's nobody else stepping up to take them

and woe betide if you do score a couple. You'll be dropped out of the team if not squad

If my auntie had a prick she'd be my uncle.

No, we all know Rhodes is a quality forward and always has been

Fair play to SS and NC for acquiring him

The key issue is the other forwards aren’t in the same class

Not that about it before but actually if he’d been reliant on Beesley we might well be floating just above the bottom 4 (Vale in 17th are only 5 points behind us)

Rhodes had barely scored for 7 years, so maybe he struck lucky with Critch?!
Maybe, the fact he's scored a few for us is great, but without those goal where would they have come from ?

We'd be screwed

I feel for Lavery a bit. He's scored a couple in recent weeks then not in the squad (unless I've missed an injury for him)

I’m hoping Kyle Joseph is going to be the player to play alongside JR and form the forward threat we need especially now Lavs going to be out for sometime assuming his hammy injury is correct!

We think Lavery is injured. He must be.

It must be soul destroying for a player when they put in a great performance then find themselves dropped! This has happened to Dembelle, Koassi, Dale and Lavery (when he wasn't injured) and it makes you wonder what constitutes a winning formulae in Critch's mind?

Manager signs prolific goal scorer.

Prolific goal scorer openly praises manager and says he’s contributed to one of his happiest times in football in a long time.

Response of fans- manager got lucky with him. If we hadn’t of signed him we’d be shit.

We did sign him, by all accounts he was Critchley’s signing, and he’s one of the league’s top goal scorers. How can that possibly be used as yet another stick to beat the manager with?

Spot on, ridiculous thread.

That Busby fella got well lucky with Dennis Law.

Yep. There’s plenty of valid critiques to direct at this manager but that’s not enough for some people. They have to go further and concoct ridiculous hypotheticals in their heads.

This thread is essentially a manager being slated because of the positive performances of a player he signed. Mind-boggling.

I think you've posted this on the wrong thread my friend

I've not slated Critchley and at rhe start say this isn't a knee jerk rant

It's a point that had we not signed Rhodes we'd be screwed as nobody else seems to be able to step-up and score

And if that was the case his head might well be on the chopping block as we'd be a lot lower in the league

Not once do I slag off the manager

But we did sign Rhodes. So what on earth is the relevance of anything you’re saying?

Some people have decided they know the answer already, what do facts matter? LOL.

So hit lucky with Rhodes and unlucky with the other strikers?
