Disgusting behaviour by some so called Blackpool fans

First of all a number of supporters booing the team and shouting rubbish as they walked off at half time. This is in the West stand by the way near to half way line. Then following Bowler being substituted, you could see how upset HE was as he had just missed that opportunity to score. He was getting himself a bottle of water just in the Blackpool technical area when this Pool supporter went right up to the barrier where he was and totally lambasted him, pointing his finger at him. What on earth is all that about ?

Then at full time apart from even more booing, another so called fan sitting in L block began being verbally abusive to Simon Sadler. He was shouting to Sadler swearing and telling him in no uncertain terms what he thought of Michael Appleton. You could see that Sadler was quite shocked and upset by this idiot and at one point Sadler himself tried to respond but was coaxed away by his family and friends.

A reality check is needed here. Appleton would not have been my choice as manager but we are where we are and he should be given the opportunity to put his own team together. The current squad are adapting to a completely new system and style of play. When Critchley took charge he did exactly the same. The players for those early weeks and months struggled to adapt and understand what was required of them. These things take time.

Appleton has also been disadvantaged by a number of transfer targets that haven’t come off for reasons we don’t really know. This is not his fault. Today’s game could have been so different. After an uninspiring first half even though we created a couple of opportunities we more than matched the opposition who didn’t really threaten our goal. Second half was much improved, faster pace, more pressing and we played some decent stuff. Had Jerry put the spot kick away, it might have been a different story. We had by far the better opportunities in the second half and missed a couple of chances whilst we were on top.

I like most of our supporters see the problems we have and areas that need strengthening but let’s give the man a chance. I am as frustrated as anybody but some fans really need to give their heads a wobble and some should hang their heads in shame. Our players give their all from what I have seen and like our owner do not deserve to be subjected to such vitriolic hate that I personally witnessed today.

Fair comments Super S BUT

1. BFC have not recruited anything
2. It needed a shake up after you know who (Judas) ran off and shamefully we havent done enough
3. We come over too nice nicey as a footie Club - we have to get hard nosed and real - we are playing in a seriously good league (worldwide comparable)
4. The team hacve to perform, they can, but much more of this and they wont

It's all a crying disasterous shame - we need a Lee and Jan Half Full lecture - if we can scrape anything out of the next two games theat might provide a significant change - BUT WE NEED NEW PLAYERS and frankl;y, its all too late (IMO)

Mr Bowler made up for any mistakes, missed chances by winning 3 points on Tuesday. Mr Sadler one of our own ! Get a grip anyone who expects miracles, we are punching above our weight in a very competitive league with massive city clubs with treble the gates Nob end not included ! 😀 UTMPOOL

You are always going to get one or two who maybe can’t handle their ale or who for whatever reason think that because they are in a football ground it’s an excuse to behave like irrational idiots

I reckon 99.9 per cent of Blackpool fans know the score and are more than happy/ delighted with the progress made under SS

I find the whole thing shocking tbh. Under the previous scumbags we’d probably be in non league football now if they didn’t liquidate BFC through covid.
We should be highly thankful for what we’ve got and a fabulous custodian of our club who has done so much in a short space of time

Maybe to reinforce the point before we post one of our rivals ?
I’m actually finding Appleton’s management style quite refreshing
Says it as it is
I thought it had been done and everyone had moved on, got a grip.

Those who haven't won't read this Forum anyway.

The win should have boosted morale.

Any negativity was ridiculous, shortsighted and premature.

Thought everyone had moved on and ready now for the big game tommorow and to bring our A game, which when we're at it as fans, there isn't many better.

Not sure some have
Let’s see next time we lose 🙄

Well I did say the other day reading FB they will chirp up at the next defeat, but doesn't appear to be many if any people on here.

The made their mind up at the start and wanting to be proved right crowd are obviously clueless.

I'm hoping an away win settled them down...

We can't waste energy on those weirdos.

Considering we haven't recruited anyone, I'm sure there were 4 starters at least on Tuesday who weren't here last season.

How does that compute?

This is me being honest. Sometimes I hated the way critchley set the team up and the way they played. Michael appletons style of play has been different and more exciting as the lads seem to get forward a lot more than they was. Under critchley I found far too much back and sideways passing every game that really pissed me off
