Do the honourable thing Mick

I’ve got to say, I agree with that too. I really did think he’d come in and change everything in a positive way…. But, let’s face it, it hasn’t has it!
We’ve got a L1 patched up squad who find it very difficult to compete at this level. We’re short in all areas regards quality - but we certainly haven’t had the managerial nous to get the best out of the squad. That is where Critchley was a lot better!
We certainly don’t pay the best wage rates and this really impacts on a lot of things!
We e jumped out of the frying pan into the fire , yes we’ve improved in many areas off the pitch, but it’s on the pitch where the Board have quite literally dropped the ball!

It's not as if he needs the money.
Maybe the club and him could come to some mutual cash payment and then a new face with fresh ideas gets a chance.

That way McCarthy would leave with a lot of respect, instead of at the end of the season, under a cloud, and relegation on his C.V.

He won't walk away, he'll continue to shuffle the deck chairs and hope something clicks. I wouldn't say things have improved, nor would I say they have got worse. The common denominator is the players, they aren't up to standard. The injury list is killing us. We needed a manager who could bring some magic, unfortunately we look every bit a side who have given up and resigned to relegation.
