Madine is clearly our pen taker but having seen the ones against Barrow and Jerry's half-hearted attempt on Saturday, do we have a natural replacement if Gary isn't on the pitch?
 
Madine only took the penalties because Yates wasn't on the pitch. I think that was his first miss so assume he will take the
next one.
 
Think they said on commentary that was the first league penalty Jerry had missed. It was a crap penalty. Low, fast and accurate into the corner and the ball should beat the keeper every time.
Jerry would be my first choice after a head reset, keep it simple.

Let's hope for a half turn on the pen spot and a top corner finish tomorrow.

First penalty Jerry has missed in his career! Aside from shootouts he was 10/10 yesterday. 25% of all penalties are missed.

I think I'd actually back Jerry over ten kicks vs Gaz and that's me saying it.

I didn't think it was half hearted. It was just unlucky. Hit the keepers foot.
 
found it rather naive that the crowd were singing his name before he even stepped up to take it.
 
Id be surprised if Yates takes a worse pen in the rest of his career , he’ll know he’s not daft, he just got it wrong, straight at the keeper along the ground is poor let’s be honest..move on..at least he got it on target🤣..rashford couldnt even hit the target when it mattered …🎣
 
If he scores that, everyone calls it 'coolly slotted home' and no one calls it 'half hearted'

If he goes for the corner and hits the post, everyone is saying 'put it down the middle, don't try and be so precise'
