Does he stay or does he go now?

I would give him to the end of the month, we have got a busy November, Bromley this Saturday, where I would expect a few changes but then we have two away games against arguably the two toughest opponents in Bolton & Portsmouth and two home games against ‘weaker’ teams in Shrewsbury & Northampton. Let’s see how we line up & perform against Bolton!
At the moment I’m not exactly enthused by NC and he wasn’t my first pick but I’m happy to give him a few more games. At least 7 points out of the next four and in the next round of the cup please Neil.

End of the month? You're going to sack off a manager before December?

If things don’t improve then yes I would, but I don’t think SS would so don’t think for one minute it would happen. If team selections are still confused and results are still not good enough then how long does he get? We were far too slow in punting Appleton last season and along with a poor choice of replacement cost us our championship status

It would be ridiculous to get rid now and I've no confidence in them bringing in the right person if they did. To pick the last manager by using some sort of consultancy says it all.
If you add Norburn and Joseph to that team last night then we have enough for this league and its down to the manager. He'll get pressure for tinkering and for the way he left last time and its up to him to deal with it.

He's not going to to be sacked and nor should he. We're 8th and a couple points off play offs. His tactics, safety first approach and lineups are infuriating in parts but we are scoring goals and individual errors have cost us over the 7 games. We should definitely be 6 points better off but chopping and changing managers is never the way and I think we'll be more consistent 2nd half the season. I would have preferred Dobbie in the summer but now Critch is here he should have our backing.

He’s stays, but learns quickly.
Play your best creative player from the off.
Get on the front foot
Go out to win the game rather than not lose
He’s had 16 league games, plus a full preseason and cup games to learn, I doubt he’s suddenly going to have an epiphany

Depends how long the decision is left? Had Sadler pulled the trigger a couple of weeks earlier last season we may still be playing Championship football as Dobbie clearly lit a flame in the team, it just came a tad too late

We’ve no idea if Dobbie would have given us success in the Champ if appointed earlier or not- we just like to think that he would.

Meanwhile, Critch stays for me. 8th in League One in the beginning of November is not enough to make me call for a managers head. This level usually plays out with a couple running ahead of the pack and then a point or two in it all season long from 4th until about 13th place. Very competitive league. Very tight.

I’m enjoying the unpredictability but of course I’m desperate for us to be a success as soon as possible.

Critch has to achieve two objectives, gain promotion and develop players to sell. He isn't going to develop
players by never playing them, and they are never going to improve without playing. There is also the problem of
injuries and suspensions, and he also has to keep players fit and feeling involved for when they may be needed.
Last night was disappointing but we had 30 attempts at goal, with 7 on target. Fleetwood had 14 shots on goal
with 8 on target. We had 8 corners to Fleetwoods 2. We also had 65% possession. So clearly we dominated
away from home with attacking football. The problem clearly is we need to improve our finishing and our game
management and cut out the individual mistakes that we always seem to get punished with. We will also clearly be
stronger when we get 2 or 3 injured players back.

Critch clearly knows what has to be done to gain promotion at this level and I fully expect 2 or 3 more signings in the
transfer window. In our promotion season under Critch, we became easily the best team in the division after the transfer window,
and I fully expect us to do that again.

It’s not even a decision to be made and the fact that we actually have fans even discussing the subject, shows what a bunch of absolute knobs we have within our rank and file tbh.

Got to agree. Calling for a manager's head after a bit of an up and down first few games (we're 8th in Nov ffs), after giving him a four-year deal, is par for the course nowadays though, unfortunately.

Let's panic-hire a manager again. Worked well last time...

He has his shortcomings but I seem to recall a lot of people shitting the bed in Oct/Nov 2020, too.

Right through to February people wanted him out.
